So I was all ready to go tanning: changed into swim shorts, applied tanning lotion, got sunglasses and towels, headphones in etc. I take a half step outside and... damn. XD

And this is why I'm waiting until I've moved out of the house before I pick up any for myself. I even told a friend that I might want to get this type as my reward for getting things together enough to move out. (I was inspired by this GAF thread actually)

Thanks. I have to see him again in a month. It's not very fun when you go to doctor hoping they'll be able to help you something that's been negatively affecting you for weeks and then leave feeling like he has more consideration for the dirt on the bottom of his shoes then your own well-being. Not a pleasant experience.

Brief story I've been trying to find a way to phrase for a couple weeks (it's not as bad as it sounds):
Recently, my (gay) teacher talked to me, his (gay) student, during private office hours about the sexual tension that often exists between teacher and student when both are gay.
To be clear, this discussion didn't come out of nowhere (I had written a personal essay for class about a gay teacher I'd had as a child), but my essay was also not about sexual tension (though this teacher seemed to think so). Eventually, I learned he was saying this while thinking about an experience he had once had as a student with an older (creepy) professor, but geeze... He knows I'm gay, so I don't know how he didn't see why I wouldn't be a bit freaked out by what he was saying, but I honestly believe he didn't intend it that way. After the fact, I think it's kind of funny, but there were definitely several awkward seconds of me getting more and more uncomfortable before the point of his statements was made clear.

Eeeeehhhhhhh...not to me, no. He's not unattractive, and I'm sure many people find him attractive, but he's not attractive to me. He's handsome in a way that I recognize but don't feel...if that makes sense.

I'd been signed up for growlr for a while now, mainly just curiosity, but I recently decided to upload a pic. Things have been fine, except that quite a few people from other countries text me a lot, not realizing where I live.
Initially, I would respond to each and every one as nice as I could, letting them know. But it quickly started to get tedious and time-wasting. My problem is that I feel guilty for downright ignoring them. Some even like to go on to just chatting, which usually never goes anywhere either.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? What would you guys do? And how would you guys feel if someone just ignored you? I know I wouldn't feel good.

Just message them once explaining your situation/location, and that talking to them is not an option. If they continue to message you after that, then that's on their heads, and you are under no obligation to respond to them.

lol the fact a bootlegged Brazilian NeoGAF exists is hilarious, but Brazilian game forums are generally pretty homophobic so LettersGAF wouldn't be viable.
Homophobia seems pretty rife among gaming communities in general. I've been called 'fag' and 'queer' during online games. They don't know my sexual preference but the way they were just so happily chucking out such derogatory remarks make me think they wouldn't care either way.
Ugh, so it turns out my mother voted UKIP. I pointed out that they've been some of the most vocal opponents of same sex marriage and some of the other messed up crap they've said. She didn't give a shit, so long as they get rid of those "annoying immigrants" then it doesn't matter who else they screw over along the way apparently.

It really depends on what you want out of the app. I personally don't mind conversations regardless of where they are located. For example, I had talked to a guy in Chicago off and on for over a year, nothing was going to come of it, but we did eventually meet up and had dinner once, we still keep in touch now and then. Anyway, if all you're interested in are local guys, that's ok, most people are that way. Put it in your profile or just say so.
I also used to think like you do. I don't like being ignored so I try to answer everyone and put in an effort to talk to them. It does get tedious after a while and sometimes I was just not interested. So I think it's nice to have good intentions but you can't please everyone anyway, so keep the expectations casual and don't think too much of it.
