now im hella depressed

i mean, the boy's story ended on an upbeat note, but the mom's stuff was so fucking depressing

like, her kids are gone and she's all alone and what the fuck is even left to do in life but die i mean in the second half of her life she's selling all the stuff she worked so hard to accumulate during the first half so what was even the point. life is futile

i watched Live. Die. Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow. trailers made it look like your typical lame/generic/uninspired hollywood blockbuster shitfest but it was actually a lot of fun. recommend.

There are a lot of members who don't visit the Offtopic side of the forum. Not to mention, any discussion about games here are quickly buried under a lot of other topics (and photos of hot guys ). I think a single topic dedicated to gay gamers would be easier to digest for many members who for some reason don't visit this topic - and looking at various topics about LGBT stuff on the gaming stuff, there are a lot of them.

Also, why don't you like the term "gaymer"? I think it's a nice play on "gay" and "gamer".

Possibly, we'll see. I'm just gonna focus on the first couple topics currently. If anyone else wants to make a general gay gamer OT in the meantime, please feel free.

Oh wow, ToonLink's minimal style translates really well into a figurine. Not specifically talking about Amiibos, but I'm always weary of figures like these (especially the more intricate characters) cause they always look derped out, or like some unlicensed, off-brand, black market knock-off. (Cake candles really.)

Totally. Some Amiibos look better than others, but all things considered they're pretty decent across the board. I think my collection will start and end with Toon Link (and maybe Wario later since he's wearing his WarioWare outfit), they've been crazy hard to find here.

Y'know, I would have agreed with this, but I like to think of it as more like getting 3D figures right outta Smash. Each game is still presented in its true aesthetic, but they're all still part of the same family.

Yeah, I felt the same way! Like, I should have related to the son's story more than anything else since we're so close in age, but I ended up being much more affected by the mom's story. That line you quoted was so honest and heartbreaking.

thats certainly a way to get hardcore nintendo fans to buy them, but i think a unified artstyle would have helped amiibos appeal to a wider audience (or made the more obscure amiibos appeal to more people, at least)

The music is going really well, I think . I was in the "recent bestsellers under $8" list in the first week. I've only received the report for the first week, but everyone was really impressed with it o/////o.
