Reminded me of an old friend from the tiny town I grew up in whom I met some time ago. She is in a relationship, has a proper job and owns a house which made apartment-living and renting me very jealous :p
She is gay (or bi/pan, haven't asked her) and in married to a woman now which is awesome as I know she went to a religious school at one point. Thankfully I don't think her family is very hostile.

I'm really lucky to live alone, fairly central yet quiet and cheap, but man is it annoying to not have room for anything. I can't listen to any records because the player would take too much room for one :/

Yeah, lack of space is awful. Plus having to worry about all the other people in your building. There was a couple fighting in the hallway at 2AM last night. Not a common occurrence, but still annoying. Plus someone that just moved in nearby REALLY loves to smoke pot and you can smell it so strongly in the hallway everyday, sometime in my apartment too. :/

But I live in an expensive part of the city, and we want to stay in this area so the homes are gonna be pricy too. But there will be three of us so we should be able to afford something decent.

This town is quiet to begin with and I live in an area with a bunch of houses (kinda suburban just tighter, you can google Hamna, Tromsø, but most images suck) and families. I live in the basement of one of those houses with a very quiet man as my neighbor and the family above is usually quiet.

Good luck finding something! What area of the city is it BTW? If I recall correctly you've said you're Canadian.

Somewhere in between Vancouver, BC and Charlottetown, PEI. ;) One of the mid sized Canadian cities. Nice, clean, but sorta boring. (And cold.) I'm hoping to move to Vancouver or Toronto in a few years to go to film school though.

Tromsø is in Norway?

I see what you did there... :p At least I know it isn't in Newfoundland.
VC sounds nice even though part of that is the funny border. I'd love to visit Canada, but I don't know quite what I'd see other than how different Québec is.

Yup, Norway. The northernmost 'large' (70k...) city here. It's a small island next to two larger pieces of land and a university was somehow built here. It's kinda cold (oceanic winds keep it above -10C most of the time) without hot summers (28C is the record), but lately summers have been much warmer. For whatever reason Murmansk (Russia) has 300k making it the largest city above the arctic circle :/

It's the weekend before Mardi Gras Day, so I'm excited for that entire block of time right there. Lots of parades, parties, etc in that weekend. Work is giving us a five-day vacation, from the 13th to the 17th.. :)

And does anyone else giggle every time that Dominos ad comes on and the app voice comes on?

The voice's cadence is robotic and jilted, to the point where it sounds like he's saying "put me in Coach!" instead of "put me in, Coach!"

Never really cared about Valentine's Day, even when I was in a relationship. It's just... I don't know. I don't need that one day to remind me to be romantic. It's kinda like New Year's Eve. No need to do something big must because it's the 31st of December, you can party anytime you want.
