I just remember the first time I stepped on a bear trap; it looks like a piece of grass, but then you step on it and your head pops off. It was really startling, and set the mood for what type of game I was getting into.Jroderton said:Oh yeah. I love how it was so creepy and you didn't really know what was going on exactly.
It's in the location that you installed the game to, from what I can gather. If you accepted defaults (and you have Windows on a C drive) that will probably be somewhere in C:\Program Files\.Jasoco said:Where would it be located in Windows? Well, it's Steam. I don't know where Steam is installed. But I will look and see if it was put there. But would the game still have the same file? I hope so.Number45 said:It's in the location that you installed the game to, from what I can gather. Also i'm running at 1920x1080 and the game looks beautiful, maybe you you should your settings in 'Steam\steamapps\common\limbo\settings.txt' and change 'use8bitrender' to 'false', or maybe it's just your computer.
That worked! Thanks!Number45 said:

Check my link up there for the location of settings.txt to modify the controls, not sure about the resolution though.Maxrunner said:bought this on steam but it would be nice if i could change the keys....and how do i see the resolution?

The last few were very nice, the momentum based puzzles. Just finished it. Didn't think much of the ending but I loved the overall narrative.Visualante said:Kind of bored now I got to the gravity puzzles. Some of the secret areas I know how to get two but I can't actually stack the boxes. Sucks.
Shh. Console gamers don't have the luxury.nincompoop said:How can it be worth $15 on PSN when the PC version is 33% cheaper and also runs at twice the resolution and framerate
Dude that's like all of PC gaming in a nutshell.nincompoop said:How can it be worth $15 on PSN when the PC version is 33% cheaper and also runs at twice the resolution and framerate
I dig the game, but it's also really short. $15 is a bit much for a 2-3 hour game with little replay value. I'd say go for it if you're into 2D puzzle/platformers. Otherwise, wait till it's $5-10.Solideliquid said:Worth it for $15 on PSN?
This is true. If you aren't deeply into this type of genre, I couldn't recommend it at that price for your enjoyment. It's a pretty specific type game.MushroomSamba said:I dig the game, but it's also really short. $15 is a bit much for a 2-3 hour game with little replay value. Got this last night as it was on sale on PSN. Feels good when you solve a puzzle!
Still I'm stuck on a puzzle with two door "slabs", two ropes which you pull to lift the doors, a "meat grinder" (two spike discs spinning) and a moveable cart.
Any hints? Not solutions though, want to solve it myself. Unless of course the solution is so simple no hint can be given therefore tell me to man up and keep trying
Hanmik said:hint.. : one of the ropes can be pulled from two different locations. (hope this isn´t to much of a hint)
It runs at 120FPS on PC? I doubt it matters even if it doesnincompoop said:How can it be worth $15 on PSN when the PC version is 33% cheaper and also runs at twice the resolution and framerate
Believe it or not, it actually runs great in Parallels. Can't say the same for Super Meat Boy. But Limbo, at least the demo, didn't show any slowdown when I tried it.Lord Error said:It runs at 120FPS on PC? I doubt it matters even if it does
And really, the game uses so many softening post processing effects, that I doubt it makes much of a difference whether you run it at 720 or 1080p.
In other words, it's worth the price - 10 or 15$, PC or PS3. I just want the damn thing ported to Mac so that I can give them my money again.

I got to the part where a tree sprouted Spider legs and I couldn't go any further.
When I go back home, I'll double check, but I'm almost certain the PS3 version which I played recently was running at rock solid 60FPS. Also, even on PC, the game's assets and rendering are optimized for 720p, and you seem to only be able to change the backbuffer resolution by tinkering with the settings file on the PC. Even when changing it, I couldn't see much, if any difference."The PC edition is the only version of the game that runs at a full 60fps." - Actual developer quote from the press release when it came out on Steam.
