Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

He also had said something like it was a dream game that they've wanted since they've started I think. My guess would be something like Don't Starve or Binding of Isaac.

Don't Starve already has a physical release coming in July from 505Games, so I guess we can ignore that one.

Ooooh yeah then that's out of the running then.

Oh shit, Transistor and Bastion are both over a million. Please please please let these be the games.

I could also see the following:

Darkest Dungeon
Fez
Dust: An Elysian Tale
Limbo
Braid

I only went back as far as 2006. At that point mostly only huge AAA games have over a million owners.

Man I wish LRG would let me know if one of the ones I've listed is correct, because any one of those above would be huge!

Quick! Someone narrow it down through Steamspy!
Creativerse - 3,341,801
Fallout Shelter - 2,684,332
Last Man Standing - 1,978,853

I must be doing it wrong, because the list has to be longer than that, right?

Edit: Never mind - I was only looking at "trending" games. I'll let someone else figure this one out, lol.

All of them would be great. But man, FEZ would be amazing. It's on PS4/Vita and I think the only physical release so far was that ultra-limited PC edition that's become insanely expensive if one shows up on ebay. Love that game.

I didn't thoroughly enjoyed Fez but it'd deserve a physical release without any doubt !

I hope it's not Limbo, but only because it has already been released physically on the Xbox 360 and PC and I'd rather see another game :3

Could be Rogue Legacy, over 1.3M owners

Would be another fantastic get for LRG (and us :p)

Surprised to find out that Rogue Legacy is a million seller on Steam while Spelunky is not.

edit: Rogue Legacy was PC/Mac exclusive for almost a year so I guess it makes sense

Oh man, I would LOVE any and all of these. Please be one of them.

FEZ, with:

- a beautiful map
- lenticular cover
- "spoiler" notebook with the fully translated language

Please, this

:O I would certainly love something like this.

Still deeply hoping it's Bastion, as us poor JP region saps cannot play it.

Any of the major speculated titles I'd happily acquire, though!

Getting down to the last few, it's Aquaplus turn, with two DRPGs and the biggest unlocalized visual novel in the market!

Yup, he did, which is why I made a joke about people stealing my future suggestions. I have all images ready, sharing one per day, I didn't want to waste the suggestion and just kept it going.

By the way, Dariusburst would be as big of a mess as the Evolution titles, it's handled by Chara Ani and two other companies just the same, and that didn't stop LRG from doing it. It wouldn't be easy, but I don't think it'd be impossible. Worst case scenario, DotEmu ports them and LRG makes the physical prints.

Why didn't I see this post before? Anyway, if the Evolution titles still have a chance of coming over, then I'm all for that.

Fez, Bastion and certainly Braid are the type of indie games I feel are overrated. Have owned all three of them for a long time now on Steam. Spent a good deal of time with them. Really wanted to like all three of them, but I guess they're just not my cup of tea. Really novel ideas in there for sure, but ultimately to me those ended up feeling like a gimmick more than anything else. I didn't really enjoy continuing to play those games, after the initial thrill of trying them out.

I guess you could argue they "deserve" a physical release for having been poster children of the "new wave" of indie games though. They certainly opened doors for other indie devs that were previously closed. They're just not games I would want to play again.

braid was dope at the time

just wanna say again: if they put out a master system like LE for Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap (like the press kit) i will happily pay anyone who grabs it during the 2 and a half minute window it's available while i'm sleeping, paypal fees + shipping. i'm loving this game and fear LRG practices.

Discussion about some kinda "eh?" cover art, reversible covers, trading cards etc. makes me wish I did graphic design for LRG. (I sorta am on an unannounced upcoming release though ;3)

Although the devs themselves probably choose the cover art...

All of them deserve a physical edition. I have wanted Dust forever.

I absolutely love the IndieBox stuff, though I've double dipped for LRG stuff. Can't wait for Hollow Knight next month.

Also hyped for this week's LRG releases.

I like it too, although I usually sell away mines when I see the games get a release on PS4 (sold Risk of Rain and Axiom Verge lately). Will probably ditch my Super Meat Boy soon.
(I'm not into goodies ^^)

You'd probably better come back after they've announced the mystery game ; if it's not Dust you could sell it more easily ;)

I wound up canceling an order with Signature because they put stuff on sale before they sent me anything. Would have been easier to just adjust it but whatever..

It seems the Signature stuff isn't so limited, as it remains for sale a long time. Perhaps better to wait for sales anyways.

Got my copy of Risk of Rain for Vita, the back of the box has a typo. The fourth back of the box quote is cut off and isn't attributed to the review outlet it comes from.

Assuming you paid for one and got two... and if it's a Vita version, then I'd be interested in buying it from you, then you could theoretically halve the cost of yours?

Got Slain and Risk of Rain today.

I know people rag on UPS Mail innovations but it's always been seamless and quick for me.

Had two items ship that way (one was LRG) on 5/30 and both arrived today 6/3.

Is God Eater Resurrection off the table? It was 20$ on PSN for both PS4 and Vita. They did Ray Gigant which is a namco game in JP. Maybe? Please?

Is there an update for the LRG Strafe Variant?

Would also like to know about that.
If it hasn't already been posted, the LRG variant of Special Reserve's Strafe will be available on June 12th at 12:00PM EST in a single batch. It launches about three days after their upcoming Broken Age and Deemo runs on Friday, June 09th, so plan your holds accordingly. Folk that ordered the standard version straight from SRG should be receiving their copies in the near future as all orders were fulfilled last week to the best of my knowledge.

Utagumi 575 is cool. It has a large soundtrack and high production values, you can tell that Sega wanted to start a new multimedia franchise like Hatsune Miku with the game.

But this might actually be a game that's impossible to localize without going the full Ouendan->EBA route. All the songs are J-pop and the 575 in the title stands for haiku poems that are part of the songs and gameplay. You have to combine Japanese words to form sentences that make sense and fit the 5-7-5 pattern while the music keeps playing.

Good news though, the game is actually not that import-unfriendly! If you don't mind getting average scores at the end and sometimes re-trying a song, you can play it like any other rhythm game and just guess randomly during the haiku parts. Works well according to a friend :)

Uta 575 is fun. Just memorizing stuff.

Ignition. Right before release of Vanilla Climax in the West, they go and announce Ignition. Ugh.
