Really excited about the new games announced. I'm going to go on the website to see a list of them all!

Oh, ok. That's only listed under the category "Games". What if I say "Upcoming Releases" located on the bottom footer of the website that isn't really noticeable unless you scroll to the bottom of the site?

I mean, this is my continued frustration with the site. What is coming out? When are things coming out? If we don't know exactly when things are coming out, can we get them ordered in some way? Is there a reason why upcoming is tucked away on the bottom of the site and why there is a section separated by those with box arts and those "also announced"? What the tell is coming out this week or next? What actual games have dates?

Because LRG is all about the hype of the current releases, getting those shifted, then moving on to the next. Fits their business model better.

E3 Hangover Reminder that we have a GAF LRG VOTE going on right now [localization suggestions].

Ends this Friday! Pick up to 3 Realistic Games and 3 Dream Games from the list of GAF suggestions for a possible localization by LRG.

It indeed looks delicious.


I went thru the 5pb catalog, and doesn't look like there's too much else we can get, unless LRG starts doing PS3 and localizations. Eiyuu Senki... Steins;Gate side stories... everything else is done by PQube, and even then the side stories would be something they would have.

This is not necessarily so. MAGES. wholly owns S;G -- just because PQube licensed S;G and S;G0 for the West on consoles does not mean they automatically have the rights to either fan disc.

No, but they are working on things like Chaos;Child etc. Just saying that they most likely WOULD be the ones that would get it.

100% agree. I don't even bother with their website anymore. I actually come here for all my LRG news which is a pain in the ass because I feel like I could easily miss an announcement. I know they send out email reminders which is nice, but it'd be great if I could know about these things 3 weeks in advance or more. Some of us try to work off a budget.

Surprised this didn't get more attention but it seems like Nintendo isn't actively blocking LRG, they just don't have the bandwidth at the moment due to stuff overperforming expectations:

"Nintendo's minimum order quantities are well below where they need to be for small publishers to thrive. The issue right now is that games are selling 5 - 10x copies more than expected so they don't currently have the capacity in the factories to consider bringing on a publisher dealing in smaller runs. Demand will level off. The GoNintendo article was poorly vetted and took my tweet out of context. Nintendo didn't deny us on the platform - conversations were temporarily halted due to demand."

Lol Nintendo underestimating their perfomance again! It's like they have a self-defeat complex. 3DS factories came to a hault cause "oh Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing are this popular??"

...they need better forecasters and know that they don't always need to play it so safe.

Well, that's very cool news re: Switch. As much as I heart my Vita forever... I know where my niche Japanese games will be in 18 months. Heck, there are -already- Switch digital games I wouldn't mind physical copies of...

I don't think it's just Nintendo. Disgaea 5 massively overperformed in the west and I doubt Konami expected to shift 500k copies of Bomberman that quick.

PS4 version of Disgaea (I know that one did well here) or Switch? Bomberman is impressive, but it's a new console with 4 physical games at launch to pick from.

Switch, we had a thread a while back. Preorders for Disgaea 5 Complete on Switch roughly equaled LTD sales of the original PS4 release in the west.

I'm assuming you guys just aren't on social media? If you didn't know, their Instagram and Twitter accounts post consistent updates. I agree the website should be better though...

I personally think LRG's mailing list is more than enough to keep up with their upcoming releases - there are more than enough reminders sent through there IMO - but I agree that Strafe felt a bit stealthier than usual.

Hey, guys! Setup a release calendar via Google Calendar as another way to keep abreast of releases. It's public so you should be able to add it to your own calendar and get the notifications. I've set email notifications at 1 week and 1 day with popup notifications for 20 minutes on Batch 1 of the games and notifications for 1 hr out and 10 minutes out for Batch 2. When I have solid release dates I will add them to this calendar.

Oh, I forgot to vote for my wanted localizations on here. Since I still have a bit of time before the vote closes on Friday, I guess I'll just post them now. Since Fata Morgana seems to be getting looked at, I'll go with these:

Social media is a terrible means of conveying information that's meant to last past a very short immediate time. If I want to remember all of the games LRG has announced that they've got deals for, I'm supposed to just scroll through months and months of Twitter feed?

The Chaos Rings III package, I think. Fully localized and voiced, spectacular music from Elements Garden, media.vision pedigree, -four- games (even if three have to be downloaded)...

It really, really should have happened.
