My PS3 is set up for CFW so I don't want to bring it online. Is there anyway to manually load these to like a flash drive and load them onto the ps3 hard drive?

Nice controls, I've had fun with both of your levels.

Surprising, the first level i published in lbp2 was extremely prone to vehicle flips. I could make it through the whole level but I know it was a valid complaint. In lbp1 the only level I ever published was a similar level with a terrible car made from a grab button. It flipped like crazy and there was no way to flip it back

Monster truck Mayhem 1-3 players

This level involved me playtesting the crap out of the monster truck
1. The suspension took a long time. I found a really neat trick that makes suspension much easier to make. You can overlay a spring and piston on the same axis in one of the thin layers. This lets you have a spring but use the piston as a stabilizer. This is really important because the spring likes to get stretched out and then you lose structural integrity. This is a nice ,simple and clean method(the wheels splay out)

2.Once I got the suspension setup I needed to play with spring and max and min piston values. Made a test course and tested it against some of the obstacles. This and a comment from my last level made me realize that I needed to get excitebike like leveling controls.

3. Initially thought I could just a joystick rotator. Its worked fine but the problem is you cant really flip past 180 without doing a quick flip back. Ended up using a normal rotator. Had to tweak rotation speed and strength until it felt right.

4 I ended up testing a lot of tire materials because the rubber wheels were too slow for it to be usable. After I changed materials I had to test motor speed so the thing was actually drivable.

Can anyone please point me towards the a good community tower defense level?

There's a nice one in the MMpicks section. It's near Blast Radius in the list, I don't remember the name but it think there's "defense" in the title.

EDIT: This exactly vv

You're right on both points so I made days longer and night time a little brighter. Torches are a good idea but my level already maxed the thermometer, and since R1 is needed to hit blocks I wouldn't be able to use a creatinator. I can think of some ways to do it using a player controlled sackbot but that would take a small chunk of thermometer to accomplish.

This is a great and very good looking level. It feels like it's an extra level that wasn't included in the story mode of LBP1. It's that great. Someone would have told me it's from Media Molecule and I wouldn't doubt. The difficulty is on easy side and the level is a tad short (like MM levels) but the level design is really good, the guy made his own bounce pad that are actually working great and nothing stands out as crappy or not making sense. It simply flows and feel good.

Man, I knew LBP2 messed with LBP1 levels, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I played The Imaginarium of Jimmy Hatchet (http://lbp.me/v/qnhxkj) which was great, but it looked like this:

when apparently it was supposed to look like this:

As great as LBP1 levels are, I think this sort of stuff makes me only want to play levels made in LBP2 from now on :(

Same thing with Up & Awaay in Sky Town 2 (http://lbp.me/v/sef3qh)

Challenging platforming

Fits the theme of AC very well, there's lots of hard jumps and also feathers to collect. The feathers are tallied at the end so you know how much you got. I enjoyed it a lot.

Yes, unfortunately, that is a big problem with LBP2. Many LBP1 levels are not playable in LBP2. It is a shame really. :/

I've completely filtered out LBP1 levels at this point. The best of the best are nice and seem to work for me anyways but LBP2 levels totally are on another level.

Yeah most of them looks worse and some are even broken. However, if you want to try my suggestions I always test them in LBP2 before posting to make sure those aren't levels affected by LBP2.

MediaMolecule wants some saves of profiles that have the naux glitch or the other one where you can't move the sackboys head. They are testing some fixes and want to see if they work.

Full post:

Hi all - we have a fix for the naux glitch / broken sackboy and we need some profiles affected by it to test it on.
I'm talking about the bug where sackboy's head goes sideways and can't be moved about with the analog sticks, and he can't swim any more!

if you have this or something similar on a profile, please email the profile over to hello@mediamolecule.com, or upload it somewhere and send us the link

thank you

I appreciate your posts :) I'm having a great time going through quality LBP1 levels I missed while also trying out LBP2 levels as they the appear.

Game is soooo good :D

^^Yeah, blast radius is great.

The Sensation of Perceiving Light

Everyone has probably played a geosautus level, but if you took a break from LBP you probably missed out on this one like I did. The visuals and puzzles are nice, and there is some fun platforming going on here. Two different endings and the finale is great. Level works perfectly with LBP2 so play it.

A beautiful level from the current cool level pages. It's nice, simple, beautiful and the guys made some really nice contraptions and events in there. I think this level is quite exactly at the heart of what is basically LittleBigPlanet and can be enjoyed by everyone because it's not too hard + simple and fun.

Enjoyed pretty much every level from poms. Some very creative stuff going on in these levels and fun to play. Spice&Co could have been a MM story level imo and The miracle of life looks amazing. All the levels are worth playing.

From ALS_TheGamer, enjoyed The magical forest and High Tech Cave 1+2. Still have to play the other levels but definately someone to watch.

From steve_big_guns, Sky Factory 1 + 2 are great. Visually i find Sky Factory 2 rather breathtaking.

Poms is indeed one of the best creators out there. Look for Jump_button's stuff if you did find Sky Factory levels beautiful, the guy is really an artist and he's the one that sort of started this art style.

Damn, this thread just got buried!
Fantastic work GAF. The thread was already slow, I think now it will pretty much kill it.

I will continue to update this but I expect you people to participate into sharing the great levels you stumble upon so this thread lives.

Omicron - Neon City
It has probably been mentioned, it's on MM Picks. But it's an awesome introduction to a very cool adventure, feels like Another World so far but in a neat, top-down perspective. Very indie quality to it.

I can also recommend http://lbp.me/v/w3k06x
The Cake Factory

http://lbp.me/v/x85gsr
This level is very artistic and has a cool concept, but it seems I can't finish it. Worth seeing nonetheless.

Little Big Adventure
No relation to the game with the same name. Found it randomly among the latest published, it's a very neat platforming adventure heavily based on the world of Spirited Away. A must-play if you've seen the movie, probably average if you haven't.

Fabourite levels my daughter (7) and I played yesterday (single player, taking turns).

Some of these have already been mentioned, but I reckon they deserve a repeat mention:

b489373b7154d3e351c172f57df97ec6681f9978.png

Sackzilla - Destroy Tokyo
Lots of fun though I'd consider it a good start. I can't wait for more levels like this with a bit more gameplay and variation in things to destroy. The laser is a blast (pun intended).

d3e55325391e0beff4fe4dff64531261893af4fc.png

Asteroids
What I imagine is one of many. The gameplay area was a little tight, and the asteroids sometimes tended to fly around very fast, but it's otherwise very faithful to the original. Includes intro menu with options! This is very promising, seeing community levelsgames with such attention to detail.

Stereo/mono 2
Wow. The blend of music and level design is absolutely spot-on. Thankfully neither of us suffer from epilepsy, and both of us were really getting into the music. Took me a long time to get through the harder platforming bit in the middle though, which was a little frustrating.

c2b5bfb7338ef7540d71e9ada39da888a218e2f0.png

Sack in a Box
This is a new level by the same creator that gave us A Patchwork World in LBP1. It's a great little romp, not too hard (so my daughter could play it without getting frustrated) with plenty of whimsy (she laugher her ass off at the paint bits) and a bunch of neat bits. Community item collection must be activated for this level to work.

Time Bandits Of The Holy Land
By: MicGorbachev
(platformer, puzzle-ish)

This one is pretty recent and one of my latest favs from LBP. It's really good looking (screenshots doesn't do justice) and the level is well done. Some platforming, some "almost puzzles" I as would call them and situations you might not expect. All of them greatly executed and charming.

Was playing around and found this really great made music level, The Song is Hurt from NIN.
It's not only that the music is well made, but also the "video" fits really great.

I really recommend that you guys check this out.

This is my first LBP2 level. It's a version of Trent Reznor's song Hurt. I used piano because the guitar in LBP2 sounds like crud. I've added a title screen menu where the player has the option to toggle the rain, leaves, water, and fire effects, aswell as toggle a synth vocal track. Prizes coming soon.

I don't know how you guys feel but I don't like the inclusion of LBP levels in this thread. There is another community thread for people who want LBP levels.

Bring 'em all on! They work in the game (well, most of them do) so why not promote them here?

LBP2 incorporate LBP. Besides, all my suggestion are tested in LBP2 and are good, totally worth playing community levels. There's no need to use 2 threads, this one is slow enough right now anyways. Unless you played the great community stuff in LBP1, it's only you missing out if you snob LBP1 great offerings. Right now those LBP levels are better than 99,9% of what's out there in LBP2 for now. The reality is that there's not much great stuff coming out of LBP2 yet outside what MM did put in the "MMpicks" section. Last option you have is also to ignore a level if it's been created in LBP1.

Hey Ranger btw, why is this in the Community page instead of the gaming? Me thinks it would've generated more traffic in the gaming session.
