Fencing Update

The German media is reporting that the time was scored correctly during fencing. There were 1.9s left after the first hit, 1.2 after 2nd hit and the winning hit was still within the time limit.

The problem was that the official scoreboard clock only shows full seconds (while the time is kept in tenths). Figure in the human reaction time to start the clock and this could make sense..

Why would the SK fencer won if time ran out? That's the one thing I haven't figured out yet.
