i feel bad for her

I honestly can't give a rat's ass about the GB whining with the Korean fencing athlete in the state she is :(

Some amazing drama! Thanks judges, and Japan <3

Great job by all of the gymnasts! Congratulations China, Japan, and Britain! Saddened for the Ukrainians.

Now there's a lot of salty brits in here. Look, if the judges didn't mess up then we'd have got the Bronze. It's only fair that if in review they realise they misjudged something that they adjust the scores appropriately.

Don't mind the Bronze, don't mind the appeal, mind the "lol GB" shit from arseholes.

Americans in this thread livin up to the obnoxious American stereotype I see, your not even in that finale so what the fuck do you care? Sucks for the Ukraine more than anyone.

Please don't take the few jackasses in the thread as representatives for the whole. I apologize on their behalf.

Sucks for GB and Ukraine.

People, Japan had the wrong difficulty points. Do you understand?

That is the points they classify the program as. It has nothing to do with the execution.

You take the difficulty and add it with 10-penalities of the execution.

Japan, had gotten the wrong classification of their difficulty points. The referee re-calculated the difficulty points and it turned out, the Japanese coach was right.

This is the exactly same thing that happened to a korean in the 2004 Olympics. However, the korean team, sent in the inquiry tooooooo late. Which made it not count.

The japanese, basically fought for their justice and won.

Anywhere to see the replay of this fencing thing? From the sounds of it the Korean got fucked over. Omega's fault or something?

Sure Brazil, give USA almost an entire set of wrong serves. Stupid team. Ugh.

And how comes they can't defend a single ball? Jesus Christ.

Oh wow, so if the Korean leaves, she loses. She has to stay in order to appeal. She gets off the stage it means she accepts the refs decision.

they didn't appeal until after the results had been officially announced, normally you appeal straight away.

so we all thought we had a silver and THEN they appealed

Also fuck people who say "HOME ADVANTAGE", it was a British judge that signed off on the demotion

I believe it was originally awarded but they felt they didn't get a high enough of a mark for the dismount. Perhaps we should appeal because we didn't get high enough marks in all the damned events.

No it has nothing to do with the execution. It was all about the difficulty points that the Difficulty team is supposed to set up. It has nothing to do wether or not the Japanese, did a good or a bad landing etc. It has only to do with what he intended to do.

The fuck up by the refs. were done BEFORE he even started his program.

Why are always ROK involved in ref. scandals? Like, every freaking olympics. Big ones too!

I thought they didnt reward him for the dismount at all but took of points for a fall? He may have fucked it up but still made one.

Olympic judges really should be getting stuff like this right first time.

So what exactly's the story with the Korean fencer?

Yeah someone should go give the korean fencer a hug and something to drink. That's rough having to sit there in the middle of a dark stadium.

Wasn't watching this myself, but if it was a technical error on the scoring for difficulty, it is understandable that it may take some time to identify the error, inform the coaches, decide what to do, and make the formal appeal.

God I feel bad for this SK fencer. Makes my heart break, she'd better get a damn good apology from the judge.

once again Fencing got some bullshit rules. No "timed" extra time, first to score wins and non of this bullshit would've happened
