Olympians are all super fit and that makes anyone more attractive. Also, the cameras tend to focus on the better looking Olympians and the winners, everyone else gets ignored.

When girl after girl was fucking up in the trials, Gabby righted the ship and stopped the pattern of failure....and gave everyone else a boost of confidence. From what little I've seen her, she has shown some great composure.

Gabby was fantastic but so was everyone else, their wasn't a pattern of failure.

What he said is pretty much true. Olympians are young and super fit so if they had any potential to look good they have pretty much filled it. The unattractive ones are pretty much ignored by the camera unless it's necessary.

I just think the accusation of genetic engineering for swimming is ridiculous. If China invented genetic engineering of humans, you'd think they would be using it for something more important than making a girl swim a bit faster.
I think China just found a good mutant in their gigantic population.

Every medal winner is tested and their blood is kept for 8 years in case new tests for new drugs appear in the following years.
Not the U.S. team, specifically. Can't remember which countries they were but when one girl made a huge mistake, a couple more got nervous and started messing up as well. Then I remember Gabby came, did really well and that kinda boosted the morale for everyone else.
