On why African/Americans are so good at running: it's basicly genetics/evolution. They tend to have longer legs than other ethnicities, which makes their gait way more efficient. Which is (only partly offcourse) why there are so many good runners from those countries.

This is from memory, there was more (science) to the story but I'd need to look it up.

I don't think we'll see a world record tonight. The last 20m is basically retaining speed and when they "jog" over the finish line it looks like they took out more speed than they really did. They'll go a tenth faster, maybe even two. But I don't think it'll be faster than 9.70.

There seems to be a marker where the first jump has to be. Is this jump measured in any way? Then the second jump doesn't have a mark and seems less like a jump. Then the third looks like a normal long jump.
