:lol :lol I love this, it's like watching the show all over again.
Yeah, I seen it first hand with my cousin, who watched the re-watch with me..:lol :lol Got to love a first timers expressions. He's only seen season 1 once though, and doesn't recall a lot of the little details and "differences" in the X time-line, we should have watched season 1 again a few weeks before 6

Jin and Sun's reunion better be epic.

It's been 3+ years..

They are drawing that shit out.
Holy crap has it really? :lol I didn't realize since I saw it all at once until this season.

I need a Shephard sibling incest avatar.

Any hq versions of that EW photoshoot? All I see are shitty scans.

Nothings beating Des and Penny's, and it was a little unexpected! I'm looking forward to it, but at this point there characters aren't really important to me.

Indeed. Once he learned he wasn't special in any way and that everything he thought was important wasn't really, he kind of lost most all of his purpose and confidence, both of which motivated him to lie, cheat, and steal to protect the island.

i just hope think they do something interest with Ben tho, he was one of the best characters on the show since being introduced in season 2

You will cry man-bitch-tears cause to make it "that was it?", it has to be a reunion. I expect Jin to die right in front of Sun's eyes... again...

But see there are a few things that they must nail. What helped make the Desmond/Penny thing so good was, at least to me, how much horrible shit happened right before they were reunited. They're lost at sea, completely helpless, the island fucking vanished, it was just a catastrophe. Then it was like, OMFG YES A BOAT WE MIGHT SHARK-DODGE AFTER ALL!

It wasn't just anyone's boat, though. They played all the notes just right and Giacchino's love theme practically seizured as they embraced and it was a thing of beauty. That particular reunion came together harmoniously. It was epic and for me the biggest feel-good moment in the entire show, and was the companion scene to the fantastic phone call scene. Basically, this reunion earned the bitch tears. Will this one? Time will tell.

Carrying some of this over from the other thread, sorry, I take forever to catch up on these.

I think I want that shirt
and what's inside of it.

That reminds me. I wonder if Jack's wife will show up in the X timeline. They might even still be married.
Agreed on the shirt
and what's inside of it.
Also, I'm hoping for Jack's wife this episode, but I doubt we'll see her.

I'm intrigued LOST-GAF, how many of you have watched LOST since the beginning (airing of the pilot)

I remember watching from the Pilot when it aired in the UK on 4, but what about you guys?
A friend told me to watch it a couple weeks before season 4 started. I marathoned the first 3 seasons, and have been watching live since "The Beginning of the End." Heh.

Alright seriously, this episode better be fucking great.

I'm hoping for some sort of island redemption story with him. Maybe he's given a chance to "apologize" for killing Jacob. Ooh, it'd be cool if he could reunite with his daughter or something.

In my humble opinion, Emilie de Raven and Matthew Fox are both awesome in tonight's episode.

Very nice, I want some aweosme Claire.
EDIT: Also, How DamCar met.

Before, we didn't know when Ben was truthful until hindsight.

Now, we can instantly pick out when he's lying. It's a low role, but I think it's an interesting perspective.

I agree Desmond/Penny was amazing. I felt the emotion.

If Sun/Jin doesn't bring emotion and their characters are quickly thrown to a low role, it'll be really lame.

At best, topping Desmond/Penny wont happen.

I didn't jump in right away, but it was early on during Season 1, like around the 9th or 10th episode. As soon as I watched the pilot I was hooked on the show like straight crack, though.

I do think a show like Lost hugely benefits from continuous watching, though, much more than most other shows. Season 2 may not have been the stunning, unforgivable disappointment that it is had I watched it all the way through on DVD or whatever, instead of having to wait at least a week for shitty episode after shitty episode.

You know it's a bad season when the introductions of excellent characters like Desmond and Ben can't come close to saving it.

Yeah, I remember getting quite upset in parts of season 2 and 3. But back then, the show was constantly hampered by long breaks/winter breaks. Wasn't there like a month break after "KATE DAMMIT, RUN!"

Yeah, there was some strange scheduling. Season 3 in particular was divided into two distinct chunks, the second of which was overall much better than the first.

I watched episodes from season 1-4 and part of 5 in marathons last year. Then I caught up with the airing of season 5 in the middle and joined GAF threads.

I'm glad I did it that way.

Yeah, Serialized TV needs as few breaks between episodes as possible. I'm not a big fan of Mid Season cliffhangers (Hello Stargate/BSG!)

Hmmmmm. In Walkabout after getting knocked over by the boar Locke says, "Im alright Helen, I just got the wind knocked out of me" or close to that, when Kate comes to help him up. In the Substitute he says something similar to Helen after falling out of his chair like a BOSS.

Coincidence or Fate?

Can't we all like everyone on the island? Hell I even like the red shirt Ajira people, kinda.

I like everyone on the show. Even characters like Bai Ling (whatever the char name was), Nikki and Paulo weren't all that unbearable to me. They featured when the show in general was at its worst, anyway.

KATE: [off camera at first] He's hurt. John? Can you hear me? Locke?

[Locke is still lying there.]

KATE: John you okay?

[Shot from the foot angle again.]

KATE: Locke?

LOCKE: [moving] I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm fine, Helen, I just got the wind knocked out of me is all.

KATE: Helen?

LOCKE: What?

KATE: You called me Helen.

LOCKE: Did I?

HELEN: John?

[Helen comes out the front door of the house and shuts off the sprinklers]

HELEN: Are you okay?

[She runs to his side and kneels down next to him]

JOHN: Yeah... I'm fine.

HELEN: Come on, let's... let's get you inside.

JOHN: Okay.

Not similar in dialog. The flashback in Walkabout had to do with Helen. At the time it was meant to be memory.

After the Substitute, it makes me think he instantly thinks about her after falling down.

Top 5 Alive:

1. Sawyer
2. Desmond
3. Da Smokesta
4. Ben
5. Jack
5b. Illana, the hottest chick on the show. Yes, Catalix and neoism I went there.

I want to put my boy Sayid up there but he's been gimped like a sumumabitch. "Why are you doing this to me *sob*?" Come on the fuck on. I miss bad ass Sayid you could utter something almost at a whisper and make it the some of the most ice-cold shit ever. "You want to know who I am...My name is Sayid Jarrah..and I am a torturer"

Based on the footage from the ABC promo for season 6 and the synopsis in the OP, I'm thinking this is going to be a really awesome episode. :D
