But I totally watched the entire series when I heard it was ending.

Am I part of your 'non' fans for not having watched it for three years? :(
Not sure what this post means. You watched the whole series, or you haven't seen it for three years?

The end of season three reveals that the show is not all flashback based. If someone stopped watching before that, they could easily be under the impression all these cut away things are from the past that actually happened. Anyone who has kept watching will know that is not the case.

I am not criticizing people for not watching the show, that's cool, if people don't like it, they shouldn't watch it. But they also shouldn't be pissed they don't understand the ending.

anyone have some screenshots of evangeline in that dress?

The finale made me go with Kate being the hottest on the show. It made it worth it for her to never die.

They were all dead in the church though, it doesn't matter if they misheard those lines. Everybody dies sooner or later kiddo.

The misunderstanding of the ending is only because people didn't know the 'sideways' was any different to flashbacks, and that only happens if they don't watch the show.

The finale is for fans, not for people who haven't watched it for three years.

This is what I think happened:

Editor: "Lost ends tonight, do a write up for tomorrow"
Writer: "Not seen that in years though"
Editor: "There is a catch up thing before hand, you'll be fine"
Writer then decides not to waste five hours of his life watching a show he doesn't care about, so he skips the catch up, doesn't know about the sideways, and doesn't understand the ending. That's it.

I don't think I understand what you meant in the first sentence; it wasn't obvious they were dead until Christian's speech and the following scene, but your second line makes me finally realize how that misunderstanding among the larger more casual fanbase/critics happened. Wow, no wonder they're mindfucked -- they might have actually thought the Sideways reality was an ordinary set of flashbacks. :lol

Wtf is wrong with his knees in this shot? They look like they're jutting out or something, or is it just his pants bein' weird?

^ just how the pants laid after he stood up.

That's what part of me thinks: that the people writing the articles don't even watch the show. They just assumed the flash-sideways were through the entire show.
wow, people didn't fucking get that? HOW?

how was it not obvious to regulars of the show that everyone was dead? I realized it when Kate and Jack met up at his son's event and she was talking about "leaving". it hit me. Christian only confirmed the obvious for everyone who didn't get it before that moment. and that's when the tears came out.

the notion that their collective bond was so strong, they couldn't move on except together is fitting and heavy, as the events on the island were each one of their defining moments in life. honestly? I thought that shit was brilliant. everyone called it wrong. everyone thought they'd somehow fuse back together from some alternate world.

won't be another show like LOST. I miss it already.

Sharp knees?

Anyone notice Kate is wearing different clothes when she's in the church than she was in the car a couple of minutes before? Very odd.

If anybody wrote a review for the finale without having an understanding of what the sideways were, their children should be taken away from them for their own protection.

I'm not pretending, don't pull that pretentious crap. I honestly did not think it was horrible. Judging by this thread, many feel the same way.
That's fine, I guess. But being flabbergasted that some people considered it emotionally manipulative? Save that sappy shit for the specials and reunions and whatevers, I don't need to be reminded in-show the things I liked about the show.

I guess I wasn't really ever a Lost fan because I absolutely hated it. All the answers they gave ended up being downright disappointing. Jacob turns out to be a giant buffoon who should have just found someone who wasn't so incompetent to take his place much sooner. Instead he waits nearly 2000 years before setting the most convoluted plan ever devised into motion.

Lets build a runway because the people needed for the plan are going to leave the island when Charlie Widmore's freighter shows up and they will need a place to land when they come back. Maybe, just maybe, Jacob should have went and had his little talk with Chuck and straightened him out 3 years sooner.

Wasn't Richard supposed to serve as Jacob's mouthpiece because he didn't like to interfere? As it turns out, Richard is just as clueless as everyone else. Yet Jacob did communicate with several different parties on a few occasions (Widmore, Hurley, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Illana). So it is all right to interfere, except when it's not.

I actually enjoyed the flash sideways throughout the season and they even managed to ruin them by making them all dead. So weak and unimaginative.

I'm glad most of you seemed to love it, wish I could.

Yeah so why was Claire and Kate together with Charlie and Jack?

They probably lived another good 30-40 years. Clearly they'd have found somebody else.

^ easily the hottest in that dress. she even had a little dunk.

would.

Did you post your impressions of any sideways scenes before knowing it was purgatory on GAF? If so, kiss your kids goodbye.

Maybe Kate went to prison. Maybe Claire got an STD from Charlie that killed her.

She probably had to change after getting some of Claire's yummy afterbirth on it

LOL yeah Kate probably went to prison. She should have chilled with Ben and Hurley on the Island.

My question still stands with Claire though. Unless Charlie gave her AIDS or something.

Doesn't mean they didn't have a stronger bond with Charlie and Jack though.

None of them ever made an impact like those two did. Notice how Kate's childhood friend is never even brought up in the sideways-verse? Or Nathan Fillion? Jack mattered the most to Kate in the end.

And Claire....well, Charlie was there before she lost her mind, I dunno if she ever found someone new.:lol

That's one of the problems with Claire, she didn't fucking mention Charlie once after he died. You'd think they would have at least gave her the Driveshaft ring.

My mistake I got confused, I had never watched the show, until I heard season six was the last season and thats when I got into it.

She probably fell in love with a coconut, knowing how batshit insane she was. If I made this show the ending would consist of a zoom in on Claire romantically kissing a Coconut (with a smiley face and a wig).

She had like one or two Charlie scenes, but it never really seemed like it was enough. She should've been destroyed by losing Charlie. Ah well.

That's cool, I'm sure my post wasn't too clear, it's 7:15 and I've not slept yet.

I didn't mean to imply you're not a fan if you joined in late at all, I joined in late. I meant people aren't fans if they haven't seen the last three and a bit seasons of the show.

No way, she looks like an old man. I swear to God, I kept mistaking Kate for Russo as I was rewatching the show. The finale did remind me how hot Claire is though.

Ana Lucia > Juliet > Penny > Season 1/2 Kate > Claire > That chick Locke fucking ninja air-shanked in S3 finale > Jack's Ex-wife > Charlotte > Alex > Sun > Shannon > Libby > Season 3+ Kate > Ilana > Nadia > Zoe

Sun being the switch from "hot" to "Vincent".

It's amazing how the awakening scene managed to make their relationship look like the sweetest thing, when Claire spent most her time being a bitch and forgetting about him.

Libby above anyone is a violation.

Lot of circumstances out of their control, like everybody accidentally thinking Charlie was on the heroin again.

Woman Jack makes out with after murdering her rich father > Claire > The rest of them.

Chicks in the looking glass > all. They're in my sideways right now and...well, you know where this is going. See ya guys later, I'm gonna go kill myself.

Why don't you take a seat? You and Jeff Goldblum.

Yeah, one of my friends I watched Lost with (*sadface*) had a crush on her since she appeared. Creepier because he's 26 now. Don't know how old you are though.

Im 20. She`s 22.

I was younger when she was younger. I win.
