I kinda laughed when Vincent first lay down next to Jack, cos it was funny just how much this show was destroying my last thread of masculinity.
I assume the island runs on your tears.

I know it's hyperbole, but I doubt I'll ever get sick of The End, or stop finding it emotive. It's really one of the best episodes of television ever for me.
It's beautiful for what it is. It tries to be nothing else. It just is. You can say whether or not you liked the show and I won't have a problem with that. Nothing can be made to please everyone. However, if you've loved the show up til The End, really cared about those characters, I don't see how anyone could argue they didn't end up where they belonged (at the very least in the main timeline). It was just all so grand for who were left on the island.

Gawker can go fuck themselves.
Kotaku, Gizmodo, and whoever reviewed the finale. They all suck and suck hard.
What's the point in reading reviews anymore? You, me, them, everybody, we got what we wanted to get out of it. You know what is true and it is true to you alone. That's how I see this finale. Some people can be informed about what really happened (they didn't die at the plane crash!, or something similar) but as long as they understand what happened, it doesn't matter whether they liked it or not. That shouldn't sap your enjoyment by any means. I know it doesn't affect mine.

Why did we never ask ourselves what reason Jack has for bleeding from his neck, and assume maybe it was a death wound. Grrr.
I look forward to rewatching the sideways now. Even Kate's, boring as it is, fits in with her guilt for taking Aaron and wanting to make sure he stayed with Claire.
Yea, all the bullshit nonsense about them being attracted to each other makes much more sense now. I won't forgive poor writing/directing, but atleast it makes far more sense now.

I dont think it played to any specific faith, but rather faith as a general concept.
Basically. I was so worried they were gonna play right into the straightforweard HEAVEN LOLZ ending, but they left it open for anyone to interpret as their own (including a non-religious man like myself.

The problem with Locke's awakening was two-fold:
1. Its like 20 seconds too short.
2. They choose mostly random scenes with no importance. Yes, they showed the biggie on the beach after the crash, but then...Locke teaching Walt to throw knives? REALLY? Where was the pounding on the hatch? Where was the turning of the donkey wheel? Where was him leading the others? Where was his death?
I think they couldn't show a whole lot of Locke's life because there was a whole lot of it he didn't end up enjoying in the end. All the other "awakened" moments were happy moments. Locke teaching Walt to throw knives was something he could take pride in. Him being deceived into turning the donkey wheel is not one. Him mercilessly banging on the hatch asking for answers is not one (particularly since he ended up forsaking the hatch in its time of need). He never lead the others for more than 3 minutes before he flashed. the fact is, john Locke's life was not filled with as many happy, fulfilling moments as Sawyer/Juliet, Sun/Jin, etc. It's better to not show his lower points, even if it makes for such a short moment.

MIB seemed like a cool bro to me. His mother killed a shitload of people, it's not like she didn't deserve death. Obviously when he went all smokey things changed, but I see the guy as a bit of a tragic figure. You can't blame the dude for becoming bitter.
Really can't. The fact they even characterized the Smoke Monster at all this season is just stunning. After watching the entire show all the way up to just before The incident, I would've never imagined The Smoke Monster would be the final antagonist for the Losties, and I especially never would've expected to feel sorry for him in any way. Just the fact they even went there is one of my favorite parts of this season (and the show).
