I won't disagree, I'll just throw in that if you are indeed right (and there's seriously solid evidence there) that the flash sideways being a result of Jughead is sort of "how" the island created that reality for them. I don't want to call it purgatory either because that's sort of a negative word, isn't it? But it was clear to me that they wanted us to think that it is a type of afterlife or whatever you want to call it. Christian telling Jack that they're about to "move on," Christian opening the doors to the church and the heavy light coming through as we intercut with Jack dying, and so on.

I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, not in a way at least. I agree that it was probably caused by Jughead, but that's the way the island created the flash sideways for them. That's just what I think. In the end I kind of think we're both on the spot in a combination of ways :lol

I wasn't really disagreeing with you. And alot of our thoughts aren't mutually exclusive. Actually I do believe the island defintely had a hand in everything. Jughead creating the FS would mean that it was forged out of the island's energy. If you examine the time jumping at the start of season 5, Faraday's message to hatch Desmond reaching him at the perfect time in the present and Desmond's conciousness flashing there no doubt seemed to be a rhyme to the reason as opposed to complete randomness. Even with Ben & Locke turning the FDW(which we learn is connected to the heart of the island) they come out on the other side at very convenient times.

I doubt it will be edited in. I'm sure it'll be a stand alone short. It would undermine the entire show if it ended with 14 minutes of the Giacchino cue from when Hurley made the sign on Randy's lawn out of gnomes.

:lol
I'll watch it now... Not sure why I thought that, The end is too perfect to mess with.

It should be called 'Spirit of the Law'

Oh shit Dave, I just realized how awesomely that avatar suits you. It was fate!

That vozzek guy makes an interesting point about Bernard, and Rose, and Boone having woken up before Oceanic 815. It would explain why Shannon isn't with Boone on the plane. He probably flashed while penetrating her.

Plus, it makes Rose's "You can let go now" that much more awesome.

Hmm, Hurley and Ben adventures should be good.

I hope they don't fill in anything in regards to what the Losties are doing off the Island. Just backstory.

It will probably just be exposition that answers some of the lingering questions.

Yeah, that's what I'm assuming.

Hurley: Hey, dude, (over morning..... mangoes) can you tell me what ___________ was about?

Ben: Well __________________

That sounds cool.

WAIT, Hurley hates Island food. He probably built a Clucks on the Island.

That's how I imagine it. Tons of camera winking and fourth-wall breakage.

Like a mini-Expose.

I just want to see them assigning eachother's numbers and then have Patrick McGoohan CGI'd in to deliver "I'm not a number, I am a free man!"

That. Is. Awesome.

I want one of these every day for the rest of my life.

I'LL NEVER LET GO! NEVER!
Seriously. The show served up the most perfect resolution for these two characters. Endless possibilities.

You know looking back and thinking about Foxy's performance... it was sooo fucking good. Definitely his best of the series. I really hope he wins an Emmy. I've always believed his acting, it seems like he isn't recognized by his acting for some reason. Shame too, because he seems like a pretty good dude. I do think Terry and Micheal are the best actors on TV,but he did so good in the finale. Has he won any awards for his role as Jack?

My theory on the sunken island is. It was shown in the timeline that "they created" well in their minds the island didnt exist because they forgot about all that stuff.

Solo, I'd like to know what you thought of Fox's performance :P

Even us Jack haters have to admit that Fox did a great job in the episode. Everybody brought their A-game to the finale.

barely noticed the swan on their squad car, lol

Fox really delivered the whole episode. Jack breaking down after realizing he was dead was the closest I came to losing it.

One of the things I'm going to miss the most about LOST is new music from MG. Not just the new music either, but putting that music with a scene. That kind of stuff just really hits home with me. For example, in LA X pt 1 and 2, the scene where the O815 actually get off the plane, but there is no sound except for the Oceanic 815 theme playing. That is just beautiful to me and really invokes emotion.

I have a question that isn't really finale related, but I think this is the best place to ask.

"You All Everybody" just came out on the Rock Band Network on 360. I have been looking for a high quality version of this song for years. Is there any way someone can rip it from the game and make an mp3 of it for me? I would be so happy if someone could.

Did anyone notice the somewhat poor CGI/greenscreen effect when Jack and MIB were looking down the cave in that shot that referenced the season 1 finale? As the camera went down and got farther and farther away from the two of them, their heads kind of stayed big and ended up being slightly bigger in proportion for their bodies. It was pretty noticeable in HD and it reminded me of those Jib-Jab animations.

Awhile back we were debating the necessity of having the final scene be in a church rather than in the Lamp Post Dharma station that was presumably below.

Upon rewatching those closing moments, I get why it had to be the church. All the characters sitting in the pews facing forward mirrors the first moments that (most of) these characters were together: their ride on 815. I can't fathom why I didn't notice that earlier. It was a nice touch.

I also enjoyed the shoulder pat that Christian gave Jack. A fitting expression of the pride that he had for Jack but failed to show and also a throwback to S1 where he did the shoulder pat to get Jack to sign off on the pregnant girl's death. This time, however, there was no ulterior motive. Just genuine pride.

In another S1 episode, when Jack is getting married, Christian mentions that Jack's problem is that he can't "let go." Ho-ly shit.

The references to previous seasons packed into this one (albeit extremely long) episode is mind-numbing.
