As I expected, Sony had a MONSTER Q3 in sales even outdoing last year's Q3.

They sold 9.5 million units in Q3... Astonishing numbers...

Even selling half of what they did in the previous Q4, they'll hit their forecast... With 75 million units sold at the end of the fiscal year, this also places the PS5 ahead of the PS4 LTD by 1.4 million... Doomers... what?!

MAUs rose to 129 million... meaning we're absolutely seeing growth in the PlayStation platform which must be coming at the expense of Xbox and PC.

129 million with 75 million PS5s sold means that there are 54 million PS4s still actively playing. I was right on the money with my predictions that we're looking at 125-130 million PS5s sold by the end of the generation. Reality if the MAUs are this high, we're probably looking at closer to 135-140 million if not more...

It's now clear that Hiroki Totoki's studio tours after he took over from Jim Ryan was to make sure everything was buttoned up and see what needed to be adjusted. I'm more concerned about those celebrating these numbers while we see state of plays consistently failing to deliver.

It's like the xbox users are moving over to ps5 and feeling completely at home with such a weak first party release schedule and declining software sales.

No, PS5 game sales were down for a long while. -12% in one quarter actually, compared to PS4.

The spending is going towards MTX. And also, the absolute numbers might be higher for the PS5 - the profit margins are substantially lower than the PS4's.
