I didnt post in the season 4 thread as I am afraid of spoilers, but WOW......I just watched all 3 seasons on Netflix during the past week and this show is terrific.

I always heard great things about the show but never had the time until now, the holiday break. Aside from the episode in season 3 where he is trying to catch the fly, I loved every episode.

Please tell me season 4 is still just as good!

I must have really missed something regarding the Fly episode because it was boring as hell. Same with the earlier episode where Jesse and Walt are stuck in the RV. Other than those two episodes, show is hella awesome. los pollos hermanos represent!

I never got the Fly hate. It was a nice nice break from all the tension and main narrative. We get to spectate a calm day at work and how it transforms into something outrageous and hilarious. Got to see Walt high as fuck and Jesse dealing with it. Fantastic ''break'' episode if you ask me.

This is an example of how Breaking Bad keeps things interesting. Other shows are inferior to BB because they are far more predictable with less wit.

Those are probably my two favorite episodes.

Season 4 was the first season I saw every episode during premier, and I can safely say that made ten times better. Just waiting every week to see what would happen, was an adventure in itself.

Season 4 > 2 = 3 > 1

Those are probably my two favorite episodes.

"4 Days Out" had some of the most beautiful cinematography I've seen on television.

I'm more than willing to give both another shot since I'd love to go through the series again but I just remember being unimpressed by both episodes, and would suggest they are almost filler eps with 4 Days Out building up to (S2 spoiler)
Walt's confirmation that his cancer has gone
, and I couldn't even tell you what Fly concludes with.

FWIW my favourite episodes are "Pilot", "One Minute", "Half Measures" and "Hermanos" (although the entire of S4 is incredible but that episode really sticks out for me).

Best show on now, or best show ever? I'm not sure.

I'm at the tail end of Season 3, hopefully season 4 appears soon on Netflix Instant. Anyone know the time line for these things?

I got my dad hooked on the show, he's already passed me and bought Season 4 on iTunes, haha. He loves it.

The thing about this show is that all of the characters are interesting and extremely well-written (as opposed to, say, Dexter). Episodes like "Fly" that focus on in-depth interaction/development between Walt and Jesse are phenomenal to me because I love those characters. Stuff like this is the number one reason why I love this show, so I just have a hard time understanding how people who otherwise like the series can consider such episodes filler. I guess they just see something different in the show.

Of course the fly episode can come off as a filler episode. HOWEVER, it is technically not a filler since it's not an episode you can skip and feel like you've missed nothing.

BUT, it's a filler episode int he respect that very, very little actually happens in comparison to every other episode that's usually packed with a million things happening simultaneously.

I still loved it, a lot, but it's a filler in my mind (technically accurate or not), which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just saying something about the rest of the episodes..

It's a testament to how well the show is written then if people can take different things from it. I find something very comforting and familiar with the Walt / Jesse relationship, even from the first episode, so I suppose I don't always need that reassurance that the aforementioned episodes provides. With that in mind, I appreciate any non- Walt / Jesse episodes so much more because of how well the other characters are written, so episodes like "Hermanos" really jell with me.

Just finished the season 3 finale on Netflix, and am already more than eager to start season 4. Holy FUCK, what a finale! Is there any legal way to watch it online, or am I stuck waiting for Netflix to catch up?
