Gotta try to shift the blame

That's like a Larry David faint right there.

What happened on his past offenses?

From Wiki, for the recent incident in 2013:
Suárez accepted the violent conduct charge but denied the FA's claim that the standard punishment of three matches was clearly insufficient for his offence. A three-man independent panel appointed by the FA decided on a ten-game ban for Suárez, who did not appeal the ban; the panel criticised Suárez for not appreciating "the seriousness" of the incident when he argued against a long ban. The panel also wanted to send a "strong message that such deplorable behaviours do not have a place in football", while noting that "all players in the higher level of the game are seen as role models, have the duty to act professionally and responsibly, and set the highest example of good conduct to the rest of the game – especially to young players."

And then he tanked out of Liverpool.

Because FIFA are a bunch of cunts. The FA were under a serious amount of pressure to do something about it from the press and fans.
FIFA are undoubtedly a bunch of corrupt cunts, but this is violent conduct.

Don't see how he is one of their "star players" either.

He's definitely world class, but Messi is the poster child for football.

He's got to be penalized in some way. That's crazy. 3 times and still nothing.

What happened on his past offenses?

---->

Suspended for biting in 2010 (7 matches)
Suspended for biting in 2013 (10 matches)

Missing games at the start of the past season is basically the only reason he didn't break the EPL record for goals in a season, and instead only tying it for seasons of the current length and setting the record for goals/games.

Yes he is, but he's still nuts.

Sure.

I hate FIFA as much as the next guy (probably more), but give me an actual time they haven't? The only other incident I can remember analogous to this one is the Zidane headbutt, and they took action then.

It also didn't really matter what they did since Zidane was retiring anyway

Gotta be a secret cannibal, that's the only plausible explanation bet he has a stash of bones in his home or something.

So should we expect a suspension that covers the WC? Or would it likely go through afterwards and cover regular-season games?

Guy looks like a creepy fuck, not surprised he does creepy and assholish things. The flop at the end of that bite just seals it.

I would get a doctors checkup ASAP to make sure he didnt transmit some disease.

So I knew about his love for biting people on the pitch but when did he make racist remarks?

2 seasons ago against Patrice Evra.

Set off a whole shitstorm about how since its ok to be racist against black folks in Latin America, he didn't really mean any harm by it. That defense rightfully failed.

If I was Uruguay I wouldn't even want this guy on the team anymore. He's a great player, but he's such a fucking cunt that it taints any of their victories with controversy like this. Just like last WC with his handball to knock out Ghana.

Two things need to happen now for the sport to walk away from this with any credibility left whatsoever.

First, Suarez needs to go on a lengthy ban (1 year plus) so he can get his shit together and for an example to be set for the rest of the world.

Second, refs need to severely punish any and all perceived instances of diving and embellishment. This has to stop, it's becoming too embedded in the sport. I don't know what the solution is - not a yellow card, because that's just a warning and not a punishment. I don't know, maybe yellow card then a match ban for diving?

This is as high as it gets, for god's sake. The World Cup. We should not be seeing this on the world stage. I'm not even a football fan, but this is a total farce. Your sport is a fucking laughing stock. Fix it.
Diving, in America at least, is the biggest barrier keeping casual fans from getting into the sport. It's why it has the reputation as being for faggots here. It's not just FIFA, though. All domestic leagues tolerate it as well.

Watching this World Cup with family members has been embarrassing at times. The NBA had problems with flopping and swiftly took measures to end it. The fact this hasn't happened in soccer makes it an inherent part of the sport now, and it's ridiculous. Institute retroactive punishment for diving ASAP. And force refs to take a no tolerance approach to it.

Oh now I remember and the next time they played everyone were wondering if they were gonna shake each other during the opening ceremonies, I think Suarez went for it and Evra pulled his hand away.

It may be harsh, but the entire team should be penalized for his actions. A strong message has to be sent that there is no place in Football for anything of the kind. I mean, one of the players tried to pull Chiellini's shirt back up so their star player wouldn't be thrown out.

I know that won't happen, but Suarez needs to at least be banned from the rest of the tourney, and then UEFA and the FA need to get involved as well in the league and Euro side as well.

Bite him where it hurts.
