Isn't there a witch that lets you search a curse out of your library and put it directly into play?
Still pretty expensive, just not 8 mana expensive. Should be fun in EDH if you target the one player without enchantment removal.

and people already want Iona banned in EDH.
Never, also needs a sac outlet and can still just be removed. its not like there's a ton of activated abilities that destroy 8 mana enchantments from noncreatures I guess it stops oblivion stoneMight be worth it?
I'm no expert on Modern, but doesn't this completely torpedo almost every deck in the format if it hits the board?
I have this guy at my other LGS that already tells me that every time, I don't even remember why. What a lock. Iona + this card. People will literally refuse to play you.

nature's claimDo people play cards that can get rid of this thing though? What enchantment removal is commonly played in Modern?
Ammit Eternal
Refuse // Cooperate
Giant Humility
Champion of Wits
Ammit seems better than Negator to me. Champion of wits looks bad for a rare.Bad Negator clone. Could see some sideboard if standard becomes very durdly.
Bad card is bad.
Better than Humility with Academy Rector. Might try it to annoy people to death.
Dece. Doesn't feel like a rare at all though.
I mean that'd be good for me since Zombie is basically free wins for U/r but I feel like Zombies lost out on the marvel ban since the midrange decks can all tech much easier against them.Zombies probably one of the best decks in the format at the moment. Red sweepers aren't that amazing against them if you don't have a followup play. Last Friday I wiped the board with Flames, they play a Colossus, and I die. I'm not saying it's unbeatable, it absolutely is, but with Marvel out of the picture it's a tier 1 deck.
Confirmed God-Pharaoh's Gift coming later today!
Oh wow, Champion of Wits is perfect for Mimeoplasm, both as a creature and as fodder for the ooze itself.
Unraveling Mummy - 1WB
Creature - Zombie - 2/3
1W : Target attacking zombie gains lifelink until end of turn.
1B : Target attacking zombie gains deathtouch until end of turn.
"We are no longer in control."
-Elekh, Vizier of Embalming
So that is where he went
Oh this zombie could be nice in my Zombies deck in Duels..... *gets sad*
Didn't see this posted yet. Seems.... ok. Not too great, but not terrible. Could be good against a control deck if cast early at least.
Wow.
They did it. They actually reprinted Humility.
They must -really- have it out for Judges
Wow.
This card is going into a couple of my Commander decks.
I already have Humility as well.
And here's the Gift:
You need creatures in graveyards though. A lot of them in order for this to be remotely good (it's not).Creating a 4/4 haste creature every turn on its own is good at that cost, so it's perfectly fine.

God-Pharaoh's Gift is going to be some kind of Eternalize-on-a-stick, isn't it.
I don't see the lock with Iona? What a lock. Iona + this card. People will literally refuse to play you.
It would've been funnier if it wasn't in the set at all because Bolas' entire afterlife thing was a lie.
(I think I read this concept on Reddit originally.)
It eternalizes for free, and with embalm creature cards, it makes them bigger, so I don't see why it would be bad to mix them. It's weird, a card that etetnalizes every turn but you want in a deck that's devoid of eternalize or embalm.
It's not constructed playable, but does it make Gate to the Afterlife an appealing pick? I actually think so.
Gate is not going to help you fetch this thing in Limited. When is the last time you had six creatures in the yard in a Limited game like...ever?
Wizards of the Coast continues to make me hate how Red and Black have so few ways to deal with enchantments.Still pretty expensive, just not 8 mana expensive. Should be fun in EDH if you target the one player without enchantment removal.
Now, now there's Chaos Warp which MaRo hates because it breaks the colour pie of red getting crappy cards.Wizards of the Coast continues to make me hate how Red and Black have so few ways to deal with enchantments.

If you're going to make two colors unable to deal with a type of permanent, stop making cards like this.
