I'm breaking mine... I can't help it (but only for the movie Masters). At least I can use my nephew as an excuse lol
"I'm waiting for hottoys to show off their MoS range"
That's what I'm waiting for. I hope their Cavill Supes is as perfect as the Reeve one.
This movie is gonna break my bank account.

Hopefully with some of the Zimmer music.
those hot toys figures are impressive, but got damn are they expensive. Never could bring myself to justify the money.
My WB contact just watched the upcoming 3 minute 'Man of Steel' trailer. He is liking Henry Cavill more and more. Here's what he could share with me: "I saw the trailer projected in one of the big rooms with full 5.1 sound. The music was great, but may be specific to the trailer, I dont know. It teases more of his childhood and his trying to hide from mankind, taking different jobs, etc. Also some General Zod shots. Im sure youll see it soon."
"It's not an 'S'. Where Im from its a symbol of hope." is a line from the trailer.
I hope Michael Shannon kills it as Zod.
He seemed like he doesnt give a fuck about the character and universe in some early interviews - I hope this doesnt translate to a bored phoned-in performance.
Why would you need armor? Superman is in tights. zzz

The Kryptonians don't have powers on their home world (or most worlds). Makes sense that they'd have armor and weapons.Jor-El has an Assault Rifle, eh? They are trying to make this a realistic entry ? Those suits look like Batsuit on steroids.

Dude never phones in his performances, last thing I would worry about is Shannon.
not sure about it but spoiler tagged it just in case.I heard it has something to do with the sun/power stuff.
Superman has spent most of his entire life soaking up the sun. The sun also effects different kryptonians differently so powers develop slower or in slightly different ways

Even if he does phone it in, he'll still be menacing. He just has that type of face lol.

"Look, that was daunting," Zimmer confessed. "Seriously. He's the greatest film composer out there, without a doubt, and it happens to be one of his iconic pieces of music, so I spent three months just procrastinating and not even getting a start on the thing, because I was so intimidated: 'Oh my God, I'm following in John Williams' footsteps.'"

from superherohype
Coming off three Dark Knight films directed by Christopher Nolan ("Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight," and "The Dark Knight Rises"), Zimmer also didn't want to do "another really dark" superhero movie. "Everything's tinged with irony and sarcasm and bitterness and darkness these days," he said. But this Superman is something lighter, he said, "celebrating everything that was good and fine about America," such as small towns "where people don't lock their doors, neighbors get together, and families are families."
"What was important for Superman was the simple fact that none of us pay much attention to the Midwest," Zimmer said. "I know America mainly by the big cities, but if you go into the Midwest, there is a people there and there is a country there. And I thought it was important that the decent folk, simple folk be the heart of the story, and a character who is guileless, who isn't complicated in the sort of flawed way our Dark Knight is, and isn't political in any way. He's just striving to become a better part of humanity."

Sounds dark, and possibly gritty.

Returns suit is downright offensive to me now lols, cape is too small, S symbol is way small too, underwear above pants is silly in this times etc.
I liked the Lex from the cartoons, serious and competent and suave with the right hint of menace beneath the surface.
That is right for most characters but especially so of Lex.Cartoon Lex is always the best Lex.

is he trying to shoot a lazer out of his dick?
realism heh. Can't wait for them to give a very logical scientific explanation on how Superman gained his powers...if he even has them in this movie. Hancock 2
Weta's Joe Letteri on Zack Snyder's Man of Steel
Didn't know Weta was doing the CGI should be great.
