#dead. True, tho. Souchirou is the chillest dude. There'll also be a lot of info, like what souchirou did in the time between backstory and coming to Edo, that is only laterally implied, but never expanded upon, and i absolutely love the author for doing that.

Still don't know what to think of this series. The good characters (Jin&Sango, Teacher, Father,...) get way too little screen time and I really don't care for Ran/Outaro at all. It's fantastical and feels whimsical, which fits the theme, but there is always that nagging feeling while reading that I'd rather watch all the other characters do stuff.
