It's a pretty neat idea, albeit not a new one. I'm not sure how it's going to work with regards to shipping costs if it's strictly physical books, but I'll be down for digital versions.

Looks like someone asked them (was it you?!) and the answer was:

Interesting but at this time I am not sure if that is possible. We do not have digital rights to all of our books, so such a plan would really not work well.

I am considering varied plans for international, but to be completely honest due to shipping costs I almost feel we would have to exclude those outside of North America (unless people are willing to add $15 per month…for shipping)

Still now that I thought it over a bit… Not all our books are available for sale overseas so we could in theory create a plan just for international that could be reasonably affordable and it could include only our global releases. Hmm.

I know digital licences are non-standard and it'll require them to unpick their plans for the next 15+ months, but it'll also mean that they're more likely to get the international dollar. I'd probably jump in for a $15/month digital tier, but I probably wouldn't touch it if the minimum for me is $40/month.
