I gave up on trying to fully understand Mahjong, but I still LOVED Part 3.
If youre not stupid like me then it would still be worth it to read up on the game. Part 4 is pretty good so far.

I wish we could see the scene when he does the Trigger and gets his Trion Body Combat Form of sorts thing on as it looked, while brief, pretty cool. And his ever lovable faces still present do make me chuckle a bit. Was he deploying a force field against the Marmod?, and how he is he so much better at using it than Osamu?

I tried reading about the mahjong rules when I was watching Saki, but gave up entirely, too many rules and made up terms.
Seriously, Kaiji should have just played Uno instead

The rules to mahjongg are easy. The scoring is the complicated part.

Some manga/anime don't have overarching goals and aren't about anything particular. You can group Bleach, HunterxHunter, Gintama, and others together that are like that.
Maybe "it's about [this character's] life and hardships" is a good description but I wouldn't say Bleach is about Ichigo's life.
It's not that bad, the Part 3 stuff especially cut off a lot of the complicated stuff. Just read it and ask if there's a particular hand/move you're not getting! I'll try and check it out.
Also it might help to save a few of the help pages that explain the terms, because in Part 3 especially it's just the same 10 terms over and over. Put the hard to remember ones to a side list and I promise it'll just stop growing after a couple of volumes.

Genos is really amazing sure he may have to use more hits and stuff but they really gave him the best attacks that spiral in his hand. I guess I just like really flashy stuff than normal and standard normal consecutive punches there. Oh well am anticipating whatever else is coming from they that are involved with the House of Evolution.

Well, I thought the drama was pretty damn cool. I bought the first volume of the manga but haven't read it yet.
AFAIK the drama is more "dark", the setting is different and is kind of reminiscent of SAW with the masked guys appearing on big screens and stuff... The OST was quite amazing.
It also seems like the characters are not exactly the same so...
If you're not prejudiced against Japanese acting, it's worth watching. And again, dat OST :

Hunter X Hunter was always about Gon becoming a hunter, finding his father and learning why he left to become a Hunter. Even though Gon and Ging have finally met there is still so much more for Gon to learn about being a Hunter and the world of Hunters with the introduction of the dark world.
No joke, I've had dreams about getting banned from gaf. Something like accidentally posting hard core pornography in a thread.

Oh yeah, I remember those help notes that were at the end. I should probably find a good setup to have them on hand to be able to look them up while reading the manga.

I've been banned for an afternoon until Evilore saw fit to give me clemency.
I think it's just that the manga thread is pretty safe all things considered. No one's really drawn a ban for something said in here that I can remember.
It's more like this thread is hidden from the eyes of the world. We're cloaked here. Neorice is still the only one to get a tag here too.

I'm sure if I had been a member of GAF during my teens posting in gaming would have gotten me banned multiple times. I'm not really sure how the unveil of new hardware would be more high tension then other points of the year for gaming though. Maybe if we were hearing rumors that the Vita/WiiU or another console was going to be discontinued then maybe it would cause stress amongst users.

I love the Titan design in this series. They look absolutely terrifying, and legitimately threatening. It makes the struggle that much more intense and relatable. About as relatable as a fictional story can be, at least.
