The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan Volumes 5-7
I picked these up after having had the first four volumes for a pretty long while in light of the anime coming out. I do enjoy this series in part because it touches on my sweet spot of romances that focus on a 1-to-1 relationship at their core. To that point, volume 5 was largely about them dealing with the aftermath of the 'other Yuki' arc in volume 4, volume 6 was basically dealing with Sasaki, and volume 7 was (finally) having Kyon come to terms with his own latent feelings for Yuki, continued from the stuff in volumes 4 and 5.
...though the ending cliffhanger was evil. "Continued in next volume" hurts so much more when it's following my favorite confession scene in recent memory. And knowing that the fan translation unit stopped work on this a long while ago, so I have to wait 6 months for Yen Press to get it out there.
Sometimes being this close to Japan with official releases sucks.

I haven't really had any issues with that yet as the characters that actually matter are fairly distinctive enough.
It was 8 in it's first ranking and 3 this week.

Since Roggy sadly seems like it has bombed (bottom third spot) BC should survive this round unless it nosedives like Tokyo Wonder Boys nosedives.

I can't remember last time Jump had two new series that had me hyped. I enjoy reading Black Clover and My Hero academy is becoming a favorite.

Gear Four?! Whatever his Gear Four is, I hope it looks cool.
well lets look at his abilities with rubber, gear 2nd and 3rd involve either fast moving blood to improve his movement/power and making a body size bigger. im assuming this new form has something to do with haki and his entire body turns jet black and he goes insane while having to take quite a while to recover since this is his last resort. orrrrr he just gets bigger (which i doubt is the case). if both are wrong then its probably some other property that rubber has that i havent thought of.
Well one ability is doping and the other is increased strength. We know 4th gear won't make him smarter (that's impossible) but maybe it can be something like vulcanized rubber? Rubber can also be sticky so that might be it too.
I feel like everyone's over-thinking it and whatever it is will be so simple that we'll be hitting ourselves for not thinking of it sooner.

Also the good guy team is called N.U.D.E because who the fuck knows why? This is real fucking stupid but it seems just the right level of trashy for me. Seems it's by the author of Dance in the Vampire Bund.

I don't know what's the hip thing to do there, but one piece was on when i was a kid and i still like duck comics to this day so i have lived with how goofy one piece can get, it was the cartoon that came on after they didn't show DBZ anymore. A lot of people my age in germany had that and still like it a lot so enough people to discuss it with, though i continued with the manga after we caught up on the anime.
But there were stretches where i didn't even read the manga and just listened to the recap on the opp podcast since the viz-translator and certain foreign celebrity super-fan could give some insight on the translation work and have generally a lot to say about the japanese cultural references, really i became more interested in that than the over all plot. I mean i am shocked sometimes that the anime caught up to the current arc.

one of the stories in that collection, a heartwarming and totally vanilla story of yuri love played straight with no twists or anything not yurikosher like that.
it's rather rough, one of his earlier works as you can probably tell by the art. But it's still pretty amusing.

Just read it. Yep, typical Furuya weirdness, but an enjoyable short story nonetheless.
