There have been a few moments that foreshadowed this, but the Thing is:

There was absolutley no Way that you could have noticed that without knowing what has been foreshadowed. Either because we have been misleaded, or because those Hints seemed like it were regular things.

As Example Kayanos phrase that "a true Blade is one that you don't even show your closest Friends" in her Chapter has been a Hint that no one thought as hint.

Thats what makes this Plottwist great to me. It connects multiple subtle hints that have been laid throughout the whole Manga (or at least starting with Chapter 29). But you only realize this when you reach this Chapter.

Thought my biggest foreshadowing personally is that the fact that Kanade never had her own spotlight compare to Nagisa and Karma eventhought she been used as "main girl" in majority of promotion. So I keep thinking whether Author simply forget or he have some surprised with her later.

Megumi haven't really done much for herself other than being "Here is normal person who her job is simply to make other person more impressive". Then again that can be applied to majority female in Soma.

Thought in fairness she probably have the biggest character development in the manga. From "Worse in Academy" to "Top 8". So we see how it goes.

I don't care about the shipping business, but so far Tadokoro has gotten far more character development and is far more likable than Erina, and all the lashing against other girls for the sake of aggrandizing Erina is pretty laughable, though unsurprising considering that she has all the personality and development of a wet paper bag, so there's not much else one can do to to glorify her.

Ideally this would be the arc where Raku finds out that Chitoge likes him. Making an awkward third year when they live together.

But... this is Nisekoi. So I don't know. I'm just hoping there's something that happens to make Year 3's start different like how Year 2 was when Chitoge realized she liked Raku.
