Use the first item before the other one.
If you use the boomerang, then you use the next item before you use it again.

Smart steering needs to be patched to be off by default or prompted to ask you if you want to turn it on each session.

I turned it off first thing last night after hearing about it. Does it turn back on by default? Must be why my first few races online today felt like they were meh.

Yeah, it really is great. The fact that everyone has their own separate timer, the slowdown on whoever has the shine, the slow build of pressure... I would play Shine Thief all day.

The DLC tracks are awesome. Animal Crossing and Wild Woods are the best out of the bunch, imo.

Having it on won't allow you to get the ultra mini turbo (pink sparks)
