I believe the intent is that he could 1. cite specific examples, payments, etc. that were corroborated through police records/time cards, bank statements, phone records, etc. 2. as one of Fisk's primary enforcers him turning would lead to a lot of lower ranking officers being entirely exposed and likely willing to make deals, thereby corroborating his story.

Basically, he would provide enough specifics for warrants, warrants would find enough of a paper trail to lead to arrests, arrests lead to deals and corroboration, making a rock solid case.

The lack of FBI manpower and inability to keep corrupted officers (when they know they have a problem already) out of the process is dubious, yes.

Buddy had a helicopter to catch. He needed to be there in 20 minutes and just lost his wheels, while he knows the chopper is leaving with or without him. I'd imagine his view was that he'd rather catch his ride out of town instead of winning a fight with Daredevil only to be separated from Vanessa and stuck hiding out during a city-wide manhunt.

I just say your reply.
Appreciate the effort, and it makes me feel a bit better about it now :)

I agree. The fight scenes are brutal. The damage that DD receives after each encounter would lay out most people for a month. Murdock family healing is like the mortal version of Wolverine's regen.

Didnt he explain it that he meditates or something to help speed up the healing process or is that just bullshit?

Hopefully we get something along the lines of this next season.

Damn I hope so.

The first suit was quickly made and unfinished.

I'd think it likely.

Here is the source, someone asked:

Took me a while but I finished season 1 last weekend. Really stellar finale. Was hoping his suit would come into play earlier than the last episode, but it wasn't a huge deal. Still loved it. Charlie Cox has really made Matt Murdock his own. He pulls off sweet and menacing really well and is the most convincing non-blind actor I've seen since Bryce Dallas Howard.

Fisk was a good villain, but I didn't really care for his inner turmoil throughout the season. He's a pot of boiling water about to spill over, but the constant whispering speech, the self-referential monologues, and the poetic anecdotes just became a bit too much. The best side of Fisk was the raw animalistic one that you see face off against Matt at the end of the season. Letting the water boil over is the best thing to happen to this character in my opinion.

enjoyed this a lot more than i thought i would, at first i thought it was because of my lowered expectations (haven't stuck with any superhero show as of late), but then i realized that would be doing a disservice to this show.

its dark and gritty, morally ambiguous, doesn't shy away from violence or death, and is grounded (mostly) whilst doing so with matt not only taking cuts and bruises and bleeding, but getting winded and exhausted too.

the serialized story about two men on opposite sides is much more entertaining than mysterious organizations or villians of the week.

yeah we could have done with more of that. favourite moment was when hes sporting this fucking crazy face, shaking with anger as hes beating on matt with both fists in the warehouse after nobu.

d'onofrio did a great job, he actually managed to effectively replace the wilson fisk i had stuck in my head for years previously

Woah, that came out of nowhere.
Are we having a production thread or is this thread being used for everything leading up to Season 2?

Just started getting into this show the last couple days. It's pretty good so far. Though, based on how it is talked about here on gaf, I found the big fight in episode 2 to be good but not great.

They are already filming season 2?!?

Could it be for a crossover in Jessica Jones?

there is zero chance there isnt a Matt cameo on Jessica Jones, but that would have already been filmed probably

Another shot for good measure:

Matt: Hey Foggy, can you describe the guy across the street for me?
Foggy: Why?
Matt: Nothing, just curious.
Foggy: He looks about 6'1", black hair, wearing black trench coat, and that's strange. A shirt with... a skull mark?
Matt: Foggy, get inside. Quick.

I guess we'll get Jessica Jones in early November, and then Daredevil by Spring 2016. Followed by Luke Cage in Fall 2016.

I would be okay with that.

But I really want Iron Fist to come out sooner rather than later.

Iron Fist actually has me super hype if they can pull out some of the choreo / stunt talent from Daredevil and put it into an actual fully martial arts centric show.

I want them to reveal a new costume right away, to calm all fears. Hopefully the costume will end up looking like the above picture.

Did we know, that season 2 is gonna come that early?

I know we never got dates, or even a hint, when Luke Cgae, Iron Fist & Defenders are supposed to premiere.
But I hope that (an early) DareDevil season 2 does not mean, that the other series come later then they were originally supposed to.

I might be wrong but I don't think they ever had a solid date for Season 2. Jon Bernthal's casting as Frank Castle seemed to indicate things were moving quickly. The success of the first season probably encouraged them to get going too.

Just finished S1 this weekend, so I'm ready for S2. And I actually didn't mind the costume. From the pictures though I thought I would hate it.

I don't know if that really has an impact, they're still writing Luke Cage and figuring out Iron Fist. DD is just ready before they are.

hmm I am just worried they are not going to give the actor playing the punisher enough time to get in good shape for the show.

After not being able to watch it up to now due to being in an country with absolutely shirty internet, I finally got to watch Daredevil. I was definitely hyped after reading so many positive impressions of it and it definitely lived up to that hype. This is a couple days after catching Age of Ultron in a theater and being let down (didn't hate it but was disappointed with it compared to Avengers 1). It was phenomenal and I am looking forward to the rest of the street-level Marvel properties that Netflix has, something I wasn't interested in prior to watching DD.
I thought the actor who played Matt was very decent. He was a handsome dude in great shape. I thought his fight scenes were choreographed pretty well for it being a series and not a major motion picture. He had a lot of charisma too as Matt and not DD, which I think can be attributed to the glasses hiding his eyes. He nailed Matt Murdock for me, someone who can read everything about a situation and say the right thing to get through it.
D'onfrio was a great Fisk. He took me buy surprise when he first appeared and we were able to see what direction he was taking the character. I wanted to immediately yell "Who is this socially unadjusted loser?! That ain't the Kingpin of Crime that I know!" But he really did pull it off. To be so quite in one scene and then hulk out and be full of emotion when beating the shit out of someone in the next, it was fantastic. I am usually prefer by-the-books portrayals of comic characters but Vincent made me enjoy his Fisk a lot.
Karen, Foggy, and Ben were great additional characters. I thought Wesley was absolutely fantastic as well.
I thought the season was quite good. I liked how there wasn't some huge overarching love story with Matt. We had the scenes with Wilson and Vanessa, but I am glad that they didn't try right off the bat to give Matt a love interest. I liked the costume he wore for the majority of the season and liked the end costume (though the mask looked too big). I wish we could have seen a little bit more lawyering but the practice did just get off the ground. I enjoy the court room stuff a lot in shows like L&O:SVU, so maybe we will get to see Matt working some courtrooms more in S2. I just saw the Elodie Yung announcement, which I don't have a problem with. I am really eager to see what direction they go with for The Punisher, even though I know it probably won't be a MAX-style Castle (I know he will be violent and will be offing fools left and right, but I can't imagine it will be a Punisher MAX Frank Castle that we get).

It was a great year for superhero shows, between this and The Flash. I can't say that I think one was better than the other, because they both did very different things and had very different tones/themes. Daredevil made me care about a hero I have never had TOO much interest in (though I did get a trade of a recent Waid run and loved it, need to get Vol 2 soon). And The Flash made me care about a DC property for the first time in a long time. All I know is that I cannot wait to get both on DVD/BR and cannot wait for S2 of both. Netflix can bring on more Marvel!
