I saved most of the N7 and Cerberus missions in hopes they'll raise the level cap in future DLC. My characters are already lvl 30 so there's no point in wasting the EXP.
X+A trick.

Because making me wait half of the game to get to someone's loyalty ability and only having 2 points to spend on it is a joke.

I tried that on subsequent playthroughs but my first two characters are legit. I'll probably use the X+A trick for my Insanity game.

I googled but found nothing: what is it exactly?

Just finished it. WOW!!! EPIC Ending. Total play time 60 hrs. I spent lots of time in conversations and always exhausted all options.

Played through normal difficulty and end boss was easy than I expected. BUT I'm not complaining. After long and amazing time with it, I was ready for frustration free ending.

BioWare has done incredible job with story and made me super excited about ME3. ME universe is THE BEST sci-fi universe ever. This will be GOTY for me for sure. GoW 3 may come close but crown will go to ME2 for its epic story and characters.

Oh and whoever from dev team came up with idea of planet scanning can go to fucking hell.

BioWare doctors or Casey Hudson, if you are reading this, I know you won't accept it right now, but down the line, I fully expect a statement from you guys that you fucked up big time with planet scanning. How can in the fucking hell a team with such a long long experience of AAA games come up with this stupid idea?
Its an off shoot of the mineral mining in Star Control 2... but the way it was done in SC2 was a lot more fun, faster and they even threw in some difficulty on planets where there was bad weather/unstable land.

Haven't tried it yet.

I feel like I'm the only person that didn't really mind the mineral scanning mini-game all that much.

If the scanner moved faster, would you guys still hate it?
I didn't mind it on my first playthrough, but on the second it got on my nerves. If the game gave me some sort of cue that I was getting closer to a big deposit then it wouldn't bother me at all. But dragging the cursor blindly all over the planet is a chore.

Honestly, I don't know what they were thinking with that. Bioware can exhibit a great ability in being able to tell what is fun and what the player wants to see, but sometimes they add something like mineral scanning which leads you to believe they haven't got a clue.

I finally started today, PC version. Runs great on my modest machine, but the mouse sensitivity is crazy high. There doesn't seem to be an in game setting, how can I lower it?

I clicked my trigger quickly and found it took less time than holding it down to find deposits. I never got OCD about it either, once I'd found a good five or more deposits I left orbit.

Never got bored of it nor irritated by it in any of my playthroughs, so personally I found it to be pretty well balanced for a mini game.

Yeah holding it down was not the way to go.

Also I would tend to not spend much time searching a planet if it wasn't "rich".

Still was pretty dull. Would have liked if it pointed you to deposits the same way it points you to beacons.

I wouldn't even waste one probe on a planet that wasn't rich.
I stopped when it went to moderate. Didn't take as much time as I thought it would though and I got basically everything I wanted. If you're trying to find the side quests anyway, it didn't seem like a big deal to me, but I can see how people who didn't do the side quests found it a pain.

Just finished the game. A really amazing experience. I loved every minute of it and it really helped that I went on a total media blackout before and after the release until now. Everything was a surprise and that was very cool.

Now, I do want to get 100% of the achievements. And I think I will replay the last mission first again.

For some reason, Mordin died during the final part of the mission.

Is there a combination of choices that guarantees that everyone survives? I went on a full paragon path if that matters and I have done all the loyalty / and other side missions as well.

I used Legion to hack the doors, Garrus to lead the second team, Garrus again for escorting the survivors back to the ship, Miranda to lead the distraction team while I used Samara for biotic protection from the swarm. For the final battle against the reaper I used Miranda and Grunt.

My guess is Garrus shouldn't be escorting the survivors back to the ship since he should be leading the second team. Jacob is the one who should do the escort. I also kept Miranda with me (except for the final battle where I used Samara and Grunt) because Jack head had unresolved issues with Miranda and my Shepard in my playthrough.

Thanks! I'll give it a try!

Yeah, the choices are:

- Tech specialist: Tali or LEgion
- First Squad Leader: Garrus, Miranda
- Escort: Mordin (Even though he's loyal, he'll have a chance of dying if he stays behind)
- Biotic Specialist: Jack or Samara
- Second Squad Leader: Garrus, Miranda

You should be good to go man. Mordin died my first time, but luckily I had a good save to go back to. Made him the escort and boom I was done.

I talked to Tali and tried to start a romance with her. At one point, she told me that she doesn't want to share me, and I selected "I only want you". Then she asked me to clear that up with Miranda. But when and how do you make that clear to Miranda? Never got that option.

It the end, it was casual love with Kelly, one time romance with Jack, and final achievement unlocking one with Miranda.

I think if you have the one night stand with Jack, that ruins all relationships with the other women.

Hmm. Weird. Other women didn't talk about it ever so I thought it was Shepard and Jack's secret.

Hopefully it isn't as bereft of content as Warden's Keep or Return to Ostagar. Why yes I would like to pay 8 space bucks for 30 minutes of content. If it is, it should be like 4 or 5 dollars at most.

After buying Return to Ostagar, Warden's Keep, and Pinnacle Station... I don't trust Bioware. She's going to be a female Zaeed with a suffix problem.

I don't get why they couldn't make Zaeed more consistent with the other characters. Make it so that his loyalty mission doesn't trigger until you talk to him on the Normandy, add some dialogue options within a dialogue tree and voila.

Maybe she'll be the long lost sister of that deranged security captain from Noveria. Always with the san's and sama's in plain english, that one.

Yeah, I think Bioware is smart enough to know they have to do a little more for the pay character.
Personally, I get the feeling this will lead to a new system with a new planet/station with small additional side quests and maybe new stuff to buy. Not Ilium or Omega size, but maybe like the Krogan DMZ where you go to new zones for maybe the recruitment quest, loyalty quest, and maybe some other quest(s) to give more lore about the area. I'd pay for that and anything else they might do on top of it.

Yeah, if Kasumi is about as fleshed out a character as Zaeed, then I'm not going to bother picking up that DLC. Also seems kind of dumb that they boast about this Cerberus Network stuff, only to now revert back to having paid DLC as well.

It seems Zaeed was afterthought. Somebody from dev said he was about to get cut completely from the game, so BioWare could have stopped putting effort to develop his character. Few dev team members tried to squeeze him for DLC after main game was done.

On my second playthrough. I intended on just playing the last 2 hours or so over again (many of my team members died at the end :lol ) but I can't help but go back and start over. I'd like to beef up my ship more and maybe attain higher levels with some of my characters I don't use as much.

There's so much to this game I just don't see how you can't play it more than once.

200 points would be a pretty good price, but it'll most likely be 400. If it's a well fleshed out character it wouldn't be so bad, but since it looks like you just stumble upong her in the Citadel like Zaeed she probably won't be. At least her mission might be one of the different ones, which is cool, but could they add a few pistols instead of more SMGs :lol? Looking forward to the final details.

I'm kinda surprised Bioware put out all this info on the DLC and stopped short of giving the price. Wonder if they're going through message boards and trying to see how much people are willing to pay.

Sounds like a $5 DLC pack to me, which is an ok deal if it's really an hour and half of missions. At $3 though, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

Yeah I never bring Zaeed with me since I doubt he even has much interesting stuff to add during missions.

I'm probably really late with saying this, but I just arrived at Illium for the first time and a commercial that was playing had a news report about someone named Kasumi. They said she stole something.

If Kasumi is a new party member in the same way that Zaeed is then I don't think I'd pay more than 400 points for it.
I don't think I even used Zaeed outside of his loyalty mission.

Well I'm kind of disappointed because I was hoping paid DLC wouldn't roll around until they had something new and substantial, as in something with many hours of content. Possibly even something resembling more of an expansion.

Whatever though, I'll take any content I can get. at 400 points I'll probably just wait awhile though since I've been done with the game a few weeks and can do without revisiting it for awhile just for one new character. However, if less than 400 points, I'd probably pick it up regardless.
