So, has anybody played with all the classes yet? You know, tested them out? And, if so, do they fancy telling us pros and cons? Because I did not know that charge was borked, which means my class of choice might be shifting...
Two new reviews up. Team Xbox's 10 out of 10 and 1UP's A-. Both are well written; I actually preferred Parish's review to Aegies', if only because I agree more with Jeremy on the negative aspects of streamlining the game and removing some key RPG tenets from ME1.
Two questions btw:
A) Is it just me or is the music in this game fairly infrequent? 25 hours in and I NEVER hear music when I'm wandering around planets or on side quests, etc. Bought the OST and I'm hearing tracks for the first time.
B) Question about the
suicide mission. I chose Tali as my specialist for Part 1, I got through the section fine, hitting all 8 buttons in time yet she still got blown to shit in the end. How do I ensure that she doesn't drop? I don't think she was loyal, even though I did her sidequest, does that matter?
Not going back now, just so I know for the next playthrough.
C) Is there a point of no return in this game or can you go back and do sidequests. Spoiler tag that shit if necessary.
So which classes is everybody using/ planning to use?
I was a Vanguard in 1, but i think i'm going to switch to Infiltrator, because that cloaking looks totally badass.
All of them look awesome but I think I've finally decided on the soldier. I enjoy the excitement of finding new weapons and that excitement would be considerably diminished if I were a class that could not use every weapon. LMGs and ARs are my favorite guns in shooters and those are exclusive to soldiers.
Yeah, I don't know what practical use charge might have, especially since you don't get barrier anymore. Oh well. Maybe it's useful at level 4, but yeesh, I'm not going to waste points there. :lol

A: Its mostly ambiance and fight music, but I dont mind found the music depressing in the first game.
b:
I used legion in the tunels and I did not have a problem... Miralda did not make it out alive in the end, that was my only casualty
c: You can, there is no end game really, once ou do the final mission you can still visit al lthe planets and do all the sidequests, thats what I did anyway!

I read the OP (its very nice too I must add) and I am a little confused about the Paragon/Renegade transfer.
My Shepard is not a level 60, its a level 50 (which in the OP doesn't say paragon/renegade transfer). More so, he also has equivalent paragon and renegade, they don't really outweigh each other. So what, in terms of paragon/renegade for the bars in ME2, will transfer over? Will I start ME2 with a bit-a renegade and a bit-a paragon? Or will none of it transfer at all considering I'm not level 60?
I am not sure if anyone else experienced this issue, but regardless of where i was located in the game the save was ALWAYS grayed out. I tried to save this game so many times, i was getting archangel and promptly died. I had also imported my ME1 character and I was just stuck staring at the guys shooting my corpse it would end. So i had to exit to the main menu. I now have to start over, sure the beginning is great but I literally just say through it and wanna see more. On top of that I cannot import my ME1 character now because its already been imported once..... Anyone have any tips, I am gonna sleep on it and see what I can do tomorrow I guess.
EDIT: Ok I restarted my xbox 360 and that seems to have allowed me to import my ME1 character again. Strange I would encounter this issue, also why when my squad was dead did it stay in the game and just let the enemy shoot me with an option to reload. I guess time to sit through the intro again for the 4th time this morning...
Man, got to a part where I died way to much so that's where I decided to call it a night. :lol
Hope you guys get yours tomorrow who don't have it already. I am loving every single minute of it so far. ME2 is so much better than ME1 in every single way.
Damn, the trailer says 29th as release, but you're right, it's the 28 here
Guess i'll check if stores are breaking streed date today, but i never had any luck with that before.
I never bother with looking at review scores for games I'm buying anyways, but looking at the scores so far makes me feel good, and reduces the annoyance from missing out on the DLC a little - good stuff.
Most dutch stores have it now. I ordered the CE online and they are sending out the normal editions early (as in yesterday), but not the CE's. Those are still going for the 28th. Not entirely a disaster because I still have to study for 2 exams.
Game of the year are voted by a staff, not just one person giving a game a 10.Just look at Demon's soul winning GOTY from gamespot.Given that,it will win some game of the year award for sure.
Of course, there's god of war 3,last guardian or heavy rain which might surprise but I'm not sure.
Doesn't matter to me anyway, since I wasn't going to check the reviews to know the game was going to be great or worth buying day one.
Normal is probably too easy if you're used to shooters at all, or have played through the first Mass Effect. It's best to go with one of the higher difficulties so that you're encouraged to vary up your tactics.
