How hard is the hardest difficulty?
I am on Insanity. It is Insane. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it, because I die a lot. Like, pop out of cover and your dead.

Why am I still going? I don't know. Once I feel that it's truly impossible, I'll turn it down.

Yeah, that's why I don't use the Blood Dragon Armor, despite how good it looks (and it looks fantastic in-game).

I understand it's supposed to be a full suit of armor, unlike the other ones, but no real reason you couldn't have modified the helmet.

If they'd just let you change your gear in mission, I'd just leave the armor off until I get into combat. It seems kind of short sighted, given that most of the game is about your character talking to other people.

How is the sentinel guys ?

Like hot sex on the beach. Especially on insane.

Assault armor is amazing. Not only do you get +75% shields, but when it goes down, you deal massive AoE+knockdown, in addition to getting half of your shields back.

Club Afterlife is fucking cool. I want to go to there.

Yeah, the music in the main club is so awesome, a friend of mine told me it's a track pulled out of one of the older Need for Speed game's.

edit : those screens look nice, but besides the clean AA the game looks surprisingly similar on the 360 (to me at least), ME2 is such a great looking game all round. All the better especially after the 360 version of Dragon Age looked so meh ..

I'm on Veteran. Starting out on highest difficulty kills your initial first time through experience.

Or makes it better.

Seriously, you have no idea how gratifying it is to die 15+ times on a boss fight, only to get better enough to pwn her (y'all know the bitch i am talking about).

I'm about five hours in so far and I just got to the Citadel. Fun game so far, but this particular moment in the Citadel actually made me laugh out loud.
If you go to Space GameStop and stick around for awhile, the clerk will complain about the lack of Role Playing games, noting that the current tends of games tend to appreciate "visceral action".
Touche, Bioware. Touche.

EDIT: UGH. Five minutes after meeting the Council
and I'm already regretting saving them. Two years later, same old bullshit.

This has probably been asked and answered but I'm scared to look through the thread for fear of spoilers, but...how does the cerebes network thing work if I have two profiles on my xbox? I already used it on mine, so will it automatically work on my brother's profile on the same xbox? Is it already downloaded to his...any help would be appreciated.

The
find the Archangel mission was no fuckin joke. I died at least 30 times the whole thing, but it felt so gratifying when I beat it. This was on insanity by the way

I liked his comment on 'Shin Akiba' Hanar/Asari porn games, :lol .

I started right on Insanity, and it's fucking awesome. As a shooter, tougher than Gears on Insane, and as an RPG, makes Dragon Age's Nightmare look like a cakewalk. There's still a fair number of encounters where winning is just a matter of not doing anything stupid, but every mission has at least one or two places where you've got to make the best of every party member's skills and have the timing and the aiming to back it up.

Seriously, so good.

Woohooo! Installing on 360 now. Can someone give me a run down on the DLC issues?

1) My EA account is already linked to my gamertag and says that my inferno armor is ready. Can I go ahead and use my Cerberus card on the mass effect site or do i do it in game? There seems to be some confusion.

2) Are the Dr Pepper codes ready to go? I haven't used the codes yet.

3) Any news on the Mass Effect Galaxy bonus? My Galaxy game says that my reward is waiting for me in ME2, but I don't have any idea how to get it.

This game is fantastic. I can see myself playing through it way too many times.

Hopefully Bioware keeps the game alive with lots of great DLC over the next year or so. I enjoy the world they've created here so damn much.

That one was not bad, at least not compared to the bitch at the end of Grunt's Recruitment mission.

Seriously. A charging Krogan(actually, a total of 4) + Bitch with Rocket Launcher/cover + Y-mech. WTF.

I too was disappointed by how easy nightmare was, even on the first playthrough.

ME2 on the other hand makes me its bitch. After every fight, I am always hammering on the F5 key.

Soooooo Good!

Know what would be cool? If I could actually access the fuckin' Cerberus Network to get my deluxe edition bonuses.

Other than that, game is very cool so far, blows away ME1.

Some PC screenshots, 16xAA and all settings max.

Did you disable bloom or something? You don't have the nasty light bleeding that's in mine. I'm going to need to play with the settings to see if I can turn the damned bloom off.

For some reason the Normandy Crash Site is the only DLC showing up for me on the Xbox 360 Cerberus Network. Is this normal? I thought there was supposed to be a new character or something.

Are you on PC? You have to open the ME2 Launcher, then there's a tab for you to point the game at your save files.

EDIT: ^you too, careful do this
Thanks dude, it worked!

Now.. How the hell do you hack the datapad mini game? I'm not able to move the box cursor at all. It just goes straight down the middle everytime.

I was wondering - is that better than the other bonus, the extra armor option?

There has been some problems and it's delayed.

I liked her up until that mission too. I think that may be one of the few game characters I have done a full 180 on during a game.

Pick different boxes with the movement keys (WASD) and select the match with the spacebar.

No fucking contest.

+15% Power damage and the extra +25% shields are so NOT worth it.

Only played the first couple of missions so far. Game's so good, serious step up from the first. First minor gripe: Wish they wouldn't have switched around some of the positions for the pause menu wheel. I keep going to my left to load up a quick save, and the other way around. :lol

Has Amazon e-mailed the codes for the Inferno Armor to anybody else that preordered from them? I know they said up to 10 days, just wondering if anybody got 'em sooner.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
This is awesome so far. I only really strayed from the start and
got Garrus
first, along with some exploring around.

Weirdest thing so far was the very start though. Right when the first achievement blips, the game actually froze up and I had to replay the entire intro again.
