Thanks. My bad.Papercuts said:The Back button holsters.

I actually starting to miss the loot from ME1. This upgrade system is strange.
There were some funny glitches during talking sequences where one member was sliding right from way back to right up to the person talking. Couple of times i got stuck walking onto a tall object.

Some animations are repetitive (arm crossing) but they changed that up.I NEED SCISSORS said:Does Shepard still creep up behind people on the Normandy? I could never take an interaction with Kaidan or Liara seriously as Shepard would always drift into view, seemingly in slow motion, and then just take a minute to stare.... like a sexual predator cornering his prey.... before finally beginning his upbeat conversation. Basically, is the game as awkward as it was before or do characters move and react more naturally?
Push the back button to holster weapons. I wish I could switch weapons just a little bit faster though...infinityBCRT said:Was "B" in Mass Effect 1 on the 360. "B" does the melee attack now. I'll have to check to see if any of the other buttons do it.
Later in the game, when their levels are higher and you're all significantly stronger, the right squad in the right situation will run through anything. Be sure to take advantage of squad commands though. For example, Jack is the best flanking party member in the game. Position her right at the side of the enemy line, make sure she's lined up, then let her rip through them with a shockwave.Lebron said:Damn buddy AI, stay behind the damn cover! The load times are a bit heavy, yeah. I've got on 360 and installing has cut down load times pretty significantly.Himuro said:This game is fantastic so far.
I'm just having one problem: load times. It looks great, runs well on my system, but the load times can be atrocious. I just left the Citadel and went on the Normandy. It took over a minute to load the Normandy.
What gives? My computer is more than capable of running the game?
PC version btw.

Yes, both of them are retarded. I don't even bother picking them anymore, well at least for now.MechaX said:Mordin and Garrus have been rather okay with this.
However, Miranda and Jacob are the chief offenders in my party.
Yeah, I kind of figured as such. I never had to bother with it in ME1, well outside of Liara's mother, so it's an adjustment.DY_nasty said:For some of the boss fights, you really need to take advantage of squad commands in order to survive.
Had this same minor annoyance at first....infinityBCRT said:Also wish there was a way to holster your weapon or wish the weapon auto holstered. Seems like BioWare went overboard with trying to make it like a shooter-- I think improving the shooting mechanics was more than enough to do that.
They still do.Valkyr Junkie said:Did I miss the explanation for why ships don't need to use relays for FTL travel in the game?
Chainfire99 said:I am a pc noob, how do you force 4xAA in Mass Effect 2? I have an ATI 4890 and i dunno how to force it in the ccc?

Going from one star to another doesn't require a relay though - just fuel. Going from cluster to cluster does.
Weapon upgrades are one thing, weapons themselves though have huge differences.ZombieSupaStar said:I don't miss the loot system at all from ME1, IMO the loot from that game was awful, just simple texture swaps, in practice, there was no real thought into it beyond what "type" of weapon to use in ME1 , which is carried over in ME2, so basically ME2 focuses on perk-like character advancement, and upgrades, and IMO greatly improves on the combat, while im not sure if its still dice rolling behind the scenes, it feels much more responsive then ME1 did, and much more shooter-like, which is a GOOD THING when you sold your game with that kind of combat.
ME1 felt like a weird mesh of shooter onto rpg (much like fallout 3 did) while ME2 feels like shooter first (combat wise) with perks and rpg style choices beyond non combat.Id actually prefer this approach to New Vegas, in looking at how it could influence Fallout. Basically if you are going to use real time fps combat in your rpg make it like a shooter and add the rpg perks on it, dont dice roll and over think "loot" to come up with weird things such as a science robe that imbues you somehow with +20 to doctor skill...
Time actually slows down a bit as you snipe with the infiltrator. Be sure to add points to your class skill. DY_nasty said:Weapon upgrades are one thing, weapons themselves though have huge differences.
The pistol for example. You've got the one you start with, which has decent heat sink stores, moderate rate of fire, but gimpy damage and accuracy. Then you've got the heavy pistol, which only has like 24 shots, but is highly accurate and packs a pretty solid punch.
The sniper rifles are pretty different too... (Widow 4 life)

Yeah there is.Wiggum2007 said:I find it super annoying that there is no 'Black' option for Pattern Color in armor customization. Or Dark Blue for that matter.

Then go into CCC and select 4xAA, and enable advanced Catalyst AI.
And then launch UT3.exe. That should do it.
DY_nasty said:Yeah there is.
Make sure you switch the material bar around though because it'll make certain colors a bit darker. Also, the lighting in settings may be off for you too. Try adjusting that as well.
