I think most people would prefer to have their genetic code rewritten rather than have their entire race wiped out.
Not true. My ME2/ME1 import is listed as LivedToFightAgain
Is there any reason to call the kid god? I don't consider the Catalyst to be so, though it contains magical qualities. There's nothing godlike about it, actually. The possible "solutions" presented to you are all bullshit. It's just bad writing. The right human choice would be to punch the boy-god in the face and tell him that "chaos" is not a problem, hence it does not need a solution. Shepard actually going along with the entire thing is really illogical and stupid.
However, what's the point of the indoctrination theory? You're indoctrinated and you'll accept Reaper-dom. Congrats, you'll now be a Reaper. The end.I think I've been indoctrinated by the indoctrination theory. It really does make the most sense. How else could you explain the extra scene of Shepard taking a breath in the pile of rubble - something that only can happen if you choose the "destroy" ending and directly contradicts what the kid tells you minutes earlier. And all those Mass Effect Twitter account replies are pretty telling.

All in! Anyone else want in? A quick confirmation of who is anti-ending/pro-ending and who is pro-indoctrination/anti-indoctrination would be helpful too.

He rewrites the genetic code of everyone in the galaxy.
If that's not godlike I don't know what is.
There's nothing ethical about any of these endings. And I hope you're not vindicated.
It's not it though, because it tells you that it can't do it on its own: You have to make the choice. The Crucible/Citadel are responsible for the magic after that.He rewrites the genetic code of everyone in the galaxy.
If that's not godlike I don't know what is.
You destroy sentient robotics. What's wrong with the destruction ending?

It means the slices of bread you toast are cyborgs. So let say a space toaster has a VI inside. Does that mean it becomes organic in the synthesis ending. Making space toasts will never be the same.
What's wrong with the destruction ending?
It kills the geth and screws up intergalactic flight for the foreseeable future.
Maybe I sympathize with Biological life but it seems like the best long term solution.

We'll, thanks for committing genocide. You're no better than the Reapers. It kills the geth and screws up intergalactic flight for the foreseeable future.

I'd fucking love a space toaster with a VI that knows just how to make toast the way I like it and have none of it burn.

So NG+ didn't give me extra assets. And I got every asset available in my first run through. Pretty sure it's impossible to have a 4000 EMS without multiplayer unless I missed 1000 assets somewhere.
All of the endings destroy the mass relays.
So again, intergalactic flight = over
Sure it destroy's synthetics, but the catalyst states that the cycle will just continue.
^ Robots have feelings, too. Didn't EDI teach you that? She learned to love.
No it is possible but it heavenly depends on the choices you made it ME 1 and 2.
So how likely it is that the original reason the Reapers were killing advanced civilizations was because of mass effect fields and how they were causing dark energy to destroy (or accelerate the destruction of) the universe/galaxy? Would fit the game's title a lot better. (And the hints in ME2, etc. I think there was hint in one of the novels even.)
Though that wouldn't make much sense unless some use of mass effect technology stopped the universe from obtaining the natural form of complete entropy.

Keep in mind that even if shepard isn't indoctrinated, he just lost a significant amount of blood, been exposured to Geth/Cerberus/Prothean/Reaper mind altering technology repeatedly, stressed from the fate of his species and the galaxy resting on his shoulders, and probably suffered from personal losses.
Even if that is the right choice, and I definitely agree that it is, it's understandable why it did not occur to shepard at that time.
It isn't though. We don't know that it created anything. When did it say that it created life? The child is a synthetic consciousness that created all synthetic and organic life in the universe. From the central point of the Citadel, this being created all Reapers and he controls them to use in cycles of destruction and rebirth as he sees fit to control the balance of "chaos" within the entire universe.
If that's not god, I don't know what is.

The only one that matters w/r/t to what you're talking about is the newgameplus save file that is created at the end of the game. (that's the file used to re-import your me3 shep for a ng+)Are you certain that isn't a New Game+ save you are referring to? This is my save file:

Exactly. Shepard should have had the option of arguing back and disproving the AI's claims. He had (in my game) two perfect examples of Synthetics and Organics getting along.
My Shep would have said screw your choices, we'll take our chances. I mean the EMS said the chance of victory was even.

I think Bioware has something up their sleeve. I just think they've been holding out on revealing it until after the game has been released in all regions.
I think they did this because they didn't want the ending spoiled. Think about it, this star child ending has been spoiled for everyone. Now imagine if that were the actual ending. There would be no wonder, or surprise, for people who found out. Same as there is no wonder for those who found out about this ending we're all pissed about.
We'll see. I'm probably wrong though.
