Yeah, I found Samara's face beautiful, especially around the eyes.
puurrrrrrrr. Except that she was "past that phase in her life". Actually found that dialogue rather pleasant. The 'no romance-romance' option is lame as fuck. Commander space pervert and all.
Also: listening to the Halo soundtrack. Yeah, that's how you end a trilogy. Sure, there's plenty to hate as well in Halo 3 (the whole humans are special thing, basically), but dammit if that ending didn't reference back in completely satisfactory way.
Here is another idea for the ME3 ending, one that hasn't been considered yet because it's kind of conceptual really, but:
Anderson represents Destroy, but it not allowed to make his case in the current ending.
TIM represents Control, who is allowed to make his case, kills Anderson (and you!), but you still need to do his will. So this whole 'confrontation' is pretty much nonsense.
Space casper however, represents Synthesis. This embodiment of the Reapers has to make all three cases, and fails miserably at it. Allowing him to make just one case: the reaper's case, would have made more sense from where I'm standing as a player.
So, as you approach the panel, you would find Anderson and TIM already going at each other, with you interrupting them, them making their case, and then space casper would appear to all, making his case as well, leaving the ultimate choice with Shepard.
(his control over TIM could be simply shown by forcing TIM to kneel and toss the gun away)
The ending selection screen would like the squad selection screen, giving a sense of 'you're going with this one into the next mission / future', and that would pretty much be the end of the Mass Effect trilogy.
Sure, it's been done before. But I think right nowthis would have made more sense conceptually and made nobody angry over space casper.
