The last major batch of calls all come in 7am UK time. There are still a few isolated seats after that, but only around 10 or so.

So is it good or bad that Cameron's party won this election? Keep reading from big Swedish media sites that they winning could be bad for Sweden in the long run

We don't just vote for one person though do we?

Or a particular personality either.

We vote for a party.

Um, actually you do vote for a person. You vote for your local MP. You aren't voting for a party - an MP may be a member of a party, but your vote is for the person and not the party. If the MP decides to change party after being elected, you are stuck with them unless they decide to step down.

You don't technically cast a vote for a party at all.

Uk pretty much said better the devil you know then the one you don't. Plus not an amazing economy but more jobs have been created correct?

Rising employment numbers, yes, but contrasted against tripling numbers of people using UK food banks, lack of meaningful real wage rises, and zero hours contract proliferation..

Not to mention that MPs aren't guaranteed to tow a party line.

yes; despite the tories' best efforts the economy did recover, but by that point they'd been pushing the lie without opposition for so long they were able to take credit for the recovery that their policy had stalled in the first place

i honestly don't know what to do now. any glimmer of hope i had about the possible future of my country is extinguished and replaced with complete dread. i don't see how today could have been worse for the future of the UK.

Good for UK economy. Bad for EU and thus Sweden as well. Both Finland and UK have now voted a fairly EU critocal government within weeks of each other so there will be shockwaves coming across EU. Not as bad for Sweden as many countries since you guys were smart enough to stick to Euro.

Essentially UK will be doing what it has best done for hundreds of years, sticking to its own intrests above other countries. At home, I really hope the homeless issue will be tackled, I would gladly pay more tax for that.

Zero hours is legalized slavery. The power is entirely with the employers and zero power from the employees.

Zero power with the employees? Legalized slavery?
Why, that sounds like a brilliant reason to vote for the Tories. Here's to hoping they totally blow the opposition out of the water and get a majority!

:(

Good mornings, so what's going on he..... oh my..... 54 seats for the SNP.... Blue across the board....
oh my....
Good luck with that my British sisters and brothers.

I really think holding a referendum on the EU may damage the Union far more tan we could ever experience tonight - so, you know, if Cameron wants to trade in the United Kingdom to appeak to UKIP voters then fine, but I hope the average Daily Mail reader knows they are starting to damage the idea of the United Kingdom, as a union, for quite possibly ever.
