Are you suggesting the Boundary Commissions are politically compromised? This is honestly the first I've heard of it.
The framework parliament gives to them makes them less than independent. It's here's what you have to do make it happen.

important to add to any non brits that they don't draw the borders themselves, they can only vote in recommendations by an independent panel. The last recommendations, which labour and the libdems voted down a few years ago, were favourable to the tories due to population shift.
They have no such thing.
if that was the case they wouldn't have cut so hard to induce a double dip recessionMaybe they just have a better command over macroeconomic issues that other parties simply fail to understand.
Oh, and Labour do? Did you forget the last Labour government?
I really don't get this bitterness that exists purely because your party of choice is losing. The people have voted and for better or worse they have voted against your views.
"Everyone who voted in a different way than me is an idiot/selfish...." that's all I've gotten from this affair.

UKIP with 12% of the vote!! Over one in ten voters siding with a racist party.
Thankfully only the one seat currently.
I'm being extreme and joking but it's fine if the zero hour contracts were consistent. However they are not. My mother is on a zero hour contract for home help. They will a lot her 5 mins between calls to drive Circa 15 miles and if she is a minute late she gets pay docked. If she says it's not possible to get there in time she doesn't get any hours for 2 weeks.

but y'know
I'm sorry fella but I'm calling bullshit on this.
No wonder the left is doing so badly if this the general conception.
Yes, they weren't the who crashed the economy, plus you know we are at the point where do many people are using food banks.Oh, and Labour do? Did you forget the last Labour government?
the bitterness exists because the tory party has been allowed to get away with mismanaging the economy for five years and lying through their teeth about it the whole time; and their punishment for this massive deception of the british public is another five years in power, giving them a chance to dismantle almost all of the things that the british left wing hold dear and to cement the distortion of british political discourse and ensure continued tory rule into the foreseeable future
this election loss is probably the biggest setback to the british left wing in a generation, and it happened because the tories were allowed to lie for years, completely unchecked
that's why we're bitter.

It's a liberal thing. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
Why would you vote cons if you were poor? Serious question I dont know that much, I usually vote emotionally.
:lol :lol :lol :lol
Yeah yeah, because Labour leaving office with a budget deficit of 11% of GDP/£156b is a masterclass of economy management.

The left love democracy as long as people do the "right" thing.
Anything that isn't left is a lie.
Nope no bullshit she contacts the head office everytime from the clients phone to prove she actual has "arrived"
Teh deficit! An EU referendum is now an unavoidable truth.
I don't think the NHS can survive another 5 years of sabotage.
Well, gotta make back all the money Labour pissed away somehow.
:lol :lol :lol :lol

Not as bad as the conservatives are mismanaging everything elseNo, but they were the ones who mismanaged it.

I mean, it is during a recession. If you're going to complain about Labour deficits, 2004-7 offers more fruitful territory.

This seems incredibly patronising, do you really think your fellow countrypeople are so stupid that if what you said was true, barely anyone else noticed? Are you so cynical that you think that the Conservative party don't actually believe in their plan? (even if it was misguided/wrong/whatever).
Well, gotta make back all the money Labour pissed away somehow.
ding ding ding. ...We have a winner!
You'd be surprised. Often those from lower socio economic groups still vote Conservative (or in this instance UKIP). I'd imagine easily led Sun readers and people of that ilk. Bit like how some of the poorest in the US continue to vote Republican. I think the fear from the threat of immigration and fearmongering regarding the economy, is enough to tide people over in prioritising these things over fairer or more leftist or socialist policies, that would ultimately help them.
So how's canada politically? I need to find somewhere to emigrate to
So I've just woke up. I signed off after Nuneaton which pointed to the conservatives outperforming even the exit poll. What are we on track for now???
By borrowing more in 3 years than Labour did in 13? By missing their own deficit reduction targets? By wasting billions on Irritable Duncan Smith's Universal Credit scheme?
Not as bad as the conservatives are mismanaging everything else
Exactly. I earn under the UK national average salary of 26k and have voted Conservative as I have more faith in them to get things done than a labour and snp coalition.
My life/lifestyle in the past five years has got better and better so why would I vote against the party that has been in power during that?
