Square2005, your figures are off.
FFIII has passed 600,000.
It looks like it had a massive restock last week actually, and is heading towards 800k this week.

Hit 800k and stop, FFIII! Make my half-assed predictions from the official thread come true!

FFIII selling out is what's causing the strange sell through.

SE expected 350k first week sales on initial shipment of 500k units. They shipped an additional 50k on second week, which, if sales had followed their projections would have left 200k inventory for week2.

Instead they sold 500k week1 and 50k (restock on week2).

I don't think they shipped anymore on week 2 but shipped 50k for week 3 (last week).

:lol at the people who said FF3 wouldn't hit a million.

Still you glad you bet me, Chris Michael?

Anyone remember my predictions for the FF remakes b/w US/Japan from June/July?
I think my prediction of 800k for FFIII may still be accurate, or maybe too high:

I'm not sure about 800k being too high considering Jonnyram said the game is heading towards 800K this week. :p

Mr. Projections here thinks his estimates are more accurate than Jonnyram's info, apparently.

So it sold almost 300,000?

I'm pretty sure what Jonny is saying is that this past week (the one we're receiving numbers for) it sold enough to put it over 600k, while this week (the one that is currently happening) it is selling enough copies to potentially hit 800k.

Someone was having a bad day or doesn't agree with stuff you say, so they do it, and you get stuck with it. Although you tell them its a bit close to home, they still leave it.

But i never look over there anyway.

How well did Tales of Eternia PSP sell?

According to Sinobi, it sold well on first day (from early number it was about 50k). But its sales dropped significantly in next few days. He suggested that predicted LTD should be around 120k - 130k. If we consider 60% first-week-to-LTD ratio, it sold around 75k this week.

You haven't been paying attention to these lists, have you? PSP does manage to get a game in the top ten every now and then, but they drop like rocks in week 2 and are hopeless in interfering with the DS onslaught.

Furthermore, I'd wait until the official Media-Create list gets here before celebrating if I were you...

Good! It looks like FFIII did rebound somewhat to pass NSMB. w/ch last week did 73k (m-c) & I estimated 73k again for this week (comgnet) so FFIII may hav sold at least 73k w/ch puts it at a minimum of 622k LTD! Still a ways from a million tho.

It's Jeremy Shockey, celebrating a field goal which wasn't.
This is the original blog post.

EDIT: beaten!

Go, go, Rhythm Tengoku.

It seems to have great legs for a GBA title in the DS era. Is it selling on word of mouth or is Nintendo advertising?
