I want first day sales already!

You know, Tales of Phantasia PSP...Full Voice Edition is a Full Voice Edition afterall. I expect 15k first week and 25k LTD so it joins that mark where most RPGs end up in PSP.

Pokemon can be blamed for that.
I bet they have SHIT loads of those carts ready to go.
Probably more servers too, as this is the game Japan will go online mad with tracking down and trading pokemon they can't be arsed finding!!

Exactly. The other thing being that the tons of software the DS has been moving has already been exhausting most of their DS card supplies. No such problem with their earlier handhelds I don't think.

They'd probably have 2 million units already pressed ready to go and working on the other 2 million right now. 4 million by end of year and it'd probably sell 2 million more next year.

Also new prints of NSMB and the brain titles are in huge demand as the holidays approaches.

And Nintendo has many titles in time for the holidays: Yoshi's Island 2, which could pull in 500k if not more and a new training title: common sense training, which probably sells a million.

This is just Japan alone not to mention they need carts for US/EU markets.

Damn, i really believe that there are a shortage of carts now. DS software sales would be up overall with hardware over 200k if this wasn't the case.

Yeah it seems they use DS Lites to wait in long lines for more DS Lites o_O
I cant wait to go to Japan. In the U.S., its so open and huge, unless your in a City, its hard to ever see things like that.

Japan just seems so tiny, end to end.

Nintendo DS Lite - 228,939
PSP - 27,499
PS2 - 22,703
GBA SP - 2,751
Gameboy Micro - 1,791
Xbox 360 - 1,250
Gamecube - 855
Nintendo DS - 320
GBA - 22
Xbox - 0
This is the second most incredible sales number I have ever seen.
I seriously wonder why the trackers dropped systems like the Wonderswan when it was selling below 20, yet the X-Box sold 0 for 2 (non-consecutive) weeks now...

Media-create doesn't drop systems until the end of the year, whether they are still selling or not.

I dont want to believe Nintendo ****ed up so much, it MUST ramp up its production capacity. Its over 8 months of DS hardware shortage and now we see carts shortages too!

No ones even outlandish expectations saw this coming. It was bound to happen.

That's what I thought at first but zooming in on the image I noticed that the bottom of the 8 isn't connected and doesn't look like any of the other 8's in the image. :(

There was a rumor that the GBA and Xbox would be dropped last January from tracking... I guess the folks at Media-Create wanted a good laugh.

Well, I was waiting for Fuzzy...
Plus, I couldn't find the hardware page on the Famitsu site. I keep getting the weeks of Aug 7-20 for some reason, even though the software is there for Aug 21-27.

Anyway, here are my Famitsu hardware totals through Aug 27/06.

PS2 - 19,764,216
PSP - 3,898,787
GBA - 8,978,795
GBASP - 5,876,582
GBM - 524,375
DS - 6,420,097
DSL - 3,987,109
GC - 3,990,382
XBX - 472,991
X360 - 157,607

GBA (Total) - 15,379,752
DS (Total) - 10,407,206

I also have Media Create totals, but I am several weeks behind on my Media Create updates, so someone else will have to share those for now.

Edit - Damn you Fuzzy! :)
