why? They're already heavily supporting 3DS with Kh 3D, theatrhytm, and DQ.
I was talking about their lack of support on Vita. FFX isn't enough, especially when it's multiplat with PS3. Compare that with the support they had on the PSP.

I went for work and I missed all Vita's huge announcements...
Yeah, that's why I said that probably Sony has nothing to show.
But it seems strange that it has REALLY nothing. Hatsune Miku? Kenka Bancho? Some tie-in (on PSP some of them sold pretty well)? Did third-parties have something only for the launch?
I never left and I still missed the huge announcements...
There were none
Seeing as it looks like the 3ds hatsune miku is going to sell well, wouldnt surprise me if the vita game that hasbeen rumoured/planned has been moved to 3ds

PSO's still arguably huge...

Not really.

The PSP support was because they couldn't do those projects on DS. Now they can on 3DS.
Vita is basically irrelevant now that 3DS can do that level of game.

The MH userbase isnt on Vita right now and if they are charging a monthly fee on Vita i cant see how this game will be a major success or mainstream seller - especially when you dont even need a Vita to play it.
2013 is a long time, by then Capcom will probably already have released MH4 or is about to release it.
I really wonder what happened to PSV - cancelled ? Or a multi game now ?
how much more powerful is Vita vs 3DS though?
maybe the cost of developing on Vita is closer to PS3 level
have we had any info on this?
For fans, yes.
In regards to "Here is a list of upcoming games that will make you want a PSVita", for many there wasn't.
Didn't the Phantasy Star Portable games sell at least 500k+ on the PSP? Or am I missing a puzzle piece in that PSO is fundamentally very different from the Portable line?

I thought the Portable line of games were quite popular on the PSP, like 500k sales. Unless, PSO is fundamentally different, I don't see why people wouldn't get a Vita for it.
Even if it was it was the direct sequel to a 500k franchise how much hardware do you think it would move?
Probably thought it wasnt going to be worth making a seperate ps game for vita so just port the pc game insread
I still can't believe how hard Sony drop the ball with PS Vita. And I thought that it was virtually impossible to fail harder than Nintendo with the initial launch of its 3DS system.

More than any other game they have announced on the Vita right now. That's for sure.
PSV would have been developed by a different team - in this case Alfa System, at least thats what i thought. Hmm....
Still far away from "huge".

Phantasy Star Online is a full online RPG. You pay for a subscription and create characters to play online.

Same producer/director.

Oh...well, that wraps it up for PSV.
Was he the guy who mentioned Phantasy Star Victory months ago ?
I disagree. If this was a real Phantasy Star Portable entry announcement exclusive to the Vita, it would be a huge announcement for Japan.
For the NeoGAF crowd the launch lineup for Vita's much better than the 3DS. The problem of course is that the NeoGAF crowd isn't the mainstream.
...if one were trying to take full advantage if the hardware. Which very few Japanese devs seem interested in doing, hence the problem...
I went for work and I missed all Vita's huge announcements...
PSO2 even lacks local multiplayer. It's depressing.
They also reach a large amount of people. Throw some random promo and look at what happens.Well, even Nintendo Direct events had more news.

And they weren't wrong at all since most of them are from US and Europe. The big problem lies in Japan, their line up doesn't appeal towards that market. On top of it seems that Sony is unable to react and I'm not asking for miracles.
The 3DS launch lineup in Japan was plain bad, but even so it had one game that sold over 300k units and other that is currently at 500k. Only God knows how long it will take PS Vita to have a game that manages to sell that amount.
Looking at the information we got from the NPD and the European sales thread I'd say you can't really single out one region as the problem child. Neither region has a bright outlook right now.
Previous Phantasy Star Online were released only for the Dreamcast and Gamecube.
It's more like an official bomba console series.
Vita's launch line-up is way more appealing to the west than in Japan. The problem? I don't think people are looking for "HD console in a pocket" experience. Portables are not popular in the west, this is crucial. Sony somehow is counting Vita will be different, I don't see how. People in the west are just waiting for next-gen HD consoles.
"PSVita version is less than 10% complete."
So they ARE announcing games in early stages of development. And online-only? Let's hope it doesn't have a fee...

No wonder Sony is doing their own webcast series, but the impression I have is that they failed pretty hard with their first attempt. Videos with plenty of dislikes, internet rage, Vita doom posts, etc.
Now we wait for E3.
