Ughh why is there no barrel opening for that gun she has? Also looks like a seat belt strap and a load of plastic. That can't be the official gun in the movie, is it? Haven't seen Alien since the 1980s... Probably should rewatch soon.

Fair point, and I probably should have included that "not being interested in love at all" is the defining feature and character of the modern version. Ie, Ellen Ripley wasn't an explicitly anti male personality - she simply had more pressing issues to deal with in the movies.

Terminator actually does have a love story but fair enough again, my post was treating stereotypes as absolutes.

I think we are on the other end of the extreme with many of those female lead characters to be honest. The message has been received to a degree. It feels like things are swinging back to having more balance.

Is she fuckable? then she's alright
Is she not? woke trash

but samus is fuckable, so it wouldnt be woke, right?

i think i like non-woke samus
