Like..really?

I can only assume that you've either fallen on very hard times or you've lost your marbles.

Come on breh, let's get you down to Gieves and Hawkes and rectify this tragedy.

I've had mine for 4 years and they look practically brand new, with some creasing of course. Just condition them every now and again and make sure you use shoetrees!

Yeah I have trees for them and I ordered some Venetian shoe cream for them as well. I'm still at the point where I can't decide if I should baby them or just beat the shit out of them. I know they are technically "work" boots, but I already have a pair of Chippewa Homesteads as my shit kickers. The only thing is for $500+ boots, I would have expected them to come with better laces. Going to order some flat waxed laces. My Chipps were half the cost and came with way better laces.

Also, speaking of Chippewa, I couldn't be happier with them. They've been my go to shoe for the last 5 months, getting almost everyday wear. Starting to get a nice patina going on them.

Laces are whatever. They are cheap. I don't get bothered when expensive shoes come with cheap laces because they take me about 5 seconds to get new ones. hell i've probably got a few extra pairs in the dresser.

i'd think given your height you'd need a medium at a minimum just for the sleeve length alone. I have no personal experience with asos but i hear it runs slim, so a small would probably be suffocating.

i think i'm gonna mix gentlemanly british-leaning wares with strange futuristic minimalist fashion victim dookie from now on. like classic raf but without the manskirts and lego shoes.

I really want to get a pair of boots but I'm not sure what. I wanted side zip MMMs but I can never find them in my size and style I want (calf leather black/brown, not patent). I want something casual but clean and that I can wear out at night in California. Any suggestions?

Hey fellas..
Going out with some friends tonight for an old friend's 30th birthday... Casual but look nice enough attire. So, this week I got a pair of Paige Denim black straight leg/semi-skinny jeans (I suppose they're skinny, but Paige denim fits so well that they're not really skinny).

I've got a yellow-knit belt which looks good on the black, and I'm going to wear this Jack Spade shirt:

Now here's my question...

Most of my overwears, jackets, sweaters, etc., are either blue or black, and I have an awesome blue blazer from LBM 1911 that I love but I wear too often when I go out, so instead.. I'm wondering do you think this black Ben Sherman sweater/knit blazer will be too much black?

(fyi, Cole Hahn shoes, the grey wing tips with the blaze of yellow on the bottom)

i'd go blue, not black, since you have yellow in the mix (blue will coordinate and not look bumblebeeish)
That is one of my biggest turn offs. I hate seeing nice leather briefcases with messenger straps.

How is the interior?
the interior is no frills but nice enough, a side zip and three pockets, lined in microfiber cloth. on the outside it also has a magnetic trolley flap that I will probably never use heh.

Any Canadians here have experience with Moores? Any suggestions for formal/business menswear stores that aren't too pricey?

I'm looking to get a suit and/or coat that works for business wear and casual wear.

I went on a trip to Berlin last week, and while walking around the downtown area I stumbled upon a Uniqlo store. To my luck, they were having sales. I've been hearing a lot about their quality from this thread but never ventured to buying anything from them. I decided to try few things and judge for myself, especially since they weren't too expensive at all. I bought blue and black flannel (for 12 euros!), a white oxford for work, tank tops, and two boxer briefs. All were outstanding! Size is great and the quality is excellent especially for the flannel. It was a great store with great service. Why is this not as popular as Gap?

Whats the word on Asos quality? Specifically their coats and jackets?
I ordered a shirt one time. Size was a bit off, and I didn't like the quality at all.

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
Okay, a while back ago I posted here, looking for advice on a permanent briefcase for dressier occasions. 90% of the time at work, I'm business casual and work in an office. But about once a month, I'm either presenting in front of the C-suite of my company, or in front of clients throughout the country. Just this week, for example, I have a ~20 minute presentation in front of some VPs - one day I'll be wearing a suit jacket and slacks, and the other day a full suit.

My Filson messenger/tote bag works great most the time. LOVE all the space, it can take a beating and keep on ticking. It protects all my gear. It matches most my stuff. It's nice and rugged. It fits at the office and on a plane and to a friend's house and running around town for when I'm traveling to New York or Chicago. ... But it looks really out of place during that 10% of the time I'm dressed fancier.

Current bag:

So, after several weeks of hunting, I think I have my choices down to four choices:

... ... or, do I say "F IT" and save up for the Swaine Adeney Brigg?

The SAB costs WAY more. Significantly more. I wouldn't be able to splurge on it for another year, at least. Currently have other things I'm saving for, and this would put me significantly behind. But man, everything I read says it's absolutely amazing, and worth the price. Considering I plan to have it for as long as I'm working, the price is do-able someday. Just not now.

Anyway, just looking for general thoughts? Which do you guys like best?
