Heh. I was thinking of asking the Environmental Director how it is to go from a semi-open lineair game to an open world game. It's the same thing I wonder with MGS V. I'd think it would be harder to create the same level of detail in such a huge world compared to a tight, closed off environment. I could be wrong.
There were rumors floating around but the chances are very slim in my opinion, I wouldn't expect anything

I watched the MGS4 documentry too yesterday. It was funny how the programmer fought with Kojima about stabalizing the game. I don't want to know how much of these discussion are for MGSV.

I just finished 2 and I haven't read anything for 3 besides watching trailers and gameplay. So my question might have been answered.
Are we gonna be able and play after main quest ends? I didn't like that we can't on 2.
To be fair, Kojima asked his team to make a character action game for Rising which they had no experience doing.

Portable Ops turned out ok for what it was trying to accomplish.
Well the only other example is MGS3 then right? If you look at it from Kojma's perspective, he is a perfectionist so watching his baby being handed off to someone would be hard for him. We will never know what MGS3 was before he took over but I could see him taking over just because they aren't up to his ridiculous standards.
