There is a vast, vast world of difference between "not staying stagnant" (an argument literally no one has made) and "inserting a Jar Jar Binks-alike NPC who spoils puzzles for you." People can want (or not want) change to varying degrees, but no one is obligated to love any one specific direction.

True base Sylux would lose to the big shots like Raven Beak, Dark Samus, and Mother Brain but post transcendent powerup Sylux in this game would destroy them. Only Prime Gorea would still be stronger.

Sylux is going to find enlightenment on Viewros. Him and Samus will become allys.
