Don't you think that Nvidia and other cloud providers would complain about the deal if it was really harmful for the cloud market? They didn't because they know it's bullshit.

The cloud market is already established without Activision games and if you think a fast paced fps would be a determining factor in the cloud market you are as clueless as the CMA.

just accepting the deal gave those "cloud providers" more exposure and advertising than they ever had, one has 60 followers before getting the deal

Nvidia doesn't care about the cloud because they make their money on hardware and AI, microsoft uses their GPU for AI servers racks, so it's beneficial for both.
not my words it's microsoft that wants to push COD to 150 Millions people with the cloud, that no one will play because of latency

No, they are not smarter than me or you. They just have too much power that they shouldn't have.

Nobody is blaming Sony now (they did their part of crying in phase 2 and that didn't work). Everyone is blaming the CMA for their illogical reasoning behind that laughable decision.

Plus the fact that the CMA said even a moderate purchase would lead to the same result, makes me believe that any new acquisition from MS would lead to the same outcome. Seems like acquisition season is finally over.

Shittiest thing on all of this is that they are not renewing these licenses to somehow fulfill a legal obligation but to avoid having Russians pirating their software. The reason is purely monetary.

You mean Microsoft will have to create their own games now, instead of buying ip? Yeah, they're fucked. If there is one thing Microsoft have proven over the last 10 years, its the fact that they can't create for shit. Acquisitions was their only way of competing as nadella himself said.

And think about this: if Microsoft is willing to return to Russia under the current conditions, how in the hell does anyone actually believe Microsoft would abandon UK entirely for fucking activision blizzard alone?
