That's fine, the biggest 3rd party company, can stay 3rd party. No one has lost or gain anything.
What? lolYet Sony can go on studio spending sprees
If Microsoft stuck to buying small studios, then they would've been ok.Yet Sony can go on studio spending sprees
Then that is obviously not a free market.

Literally no MS fan has said cloud gaming is the future. Even as an Xbox fan, gamepass is great but no one actually streams the games.Wouldn't be their first shift of argument throughout this process.
Bob already spoke:
This begs the question, which publisher will they go after now?
Surely it’s EA or Take 2.

When you talk about shifting the argument, it's projection
MS second best Q3 results. Hardware down due to series x constraints since they are building their cloud infrastructure more and more.
Just like the CD, DVD, Blu ray, and now cable box consoles are a dying platform.
Bob already spoke:
They will get CMA'ed again if they try lol. And as far as I know the CMA has never reversed a decision except for a couple cases. This begs the question, which publisher will they go after now?

Yep. Definitely just pay the 2.5Bil and drop out of this deal. No sense in sucking up time, and resources for the next year or two. Would slow momentum of the brand down even more than it already is.I guess the CMA saw through their stupid deals about COD on switch, lol. MS would be foolish to waste one more second on this acquisition, just walk away. This shit happens, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
Yeah man small studios and biggest publisher, same thing... MS bought 15 studios last 7 years.Yet Sony can go on studio spending sprees
He's an influencer. No way he's up at 8 amCan somebody kindly check on Colt in these trying times?
Yeah unfortunately. And even if it did come to game pass I still probably would have bought the Ultimate Edition for the 4 days early access anyways. 4 days is a long time during a games launch.Time to actually pay for Diablo
Clearly a ton of fanboys here that didn't want it to go through because it wasn't their platform of choice.
The decision is quite baffling tbh, based on their ACTUAL written reasoning (cloud gaming). The deal not going ahead means the game is not available for cloud streaming at all, whereas if it did go through it would be available on all browsers, Xbox, playstation, mobile and just about every other.
So instead of it being on the most widely available platforms for cloud. It's now on none. It honestly seems like CMA don't really understand what they are regulating here.
it's not about one game or another game. It's about control of the entire market. If MS is essentially allowed to hoard every popular game then nobody else ever has a chance of breaking in.Clearly a ton of fanboys here that didn't want it to go through because it wasn't their platform of choice.

*Only available if you buy their subscription service - thats the issue.Clearly a ton of fanboys here that didn't want it to go through because it wasn't their platform of choice.

All ABK/Xbox games were going to be available on Geforce Now. CoD, maybe even World of Warcraft. Activision isn't interested in cloud gaming so now none of their games will be on cloud devices. Literally making decisions for the worst. Xbox wanted to push cloud gaming. Activision didn't. They were going to make Activision put their games on Xcloud and other cloud services. Now it's not happening. Good job guys!Clearly a ton of fanboys here that didn't want it to go through because it wasn't their platform of choice.

They've always been ridiculous throughout this whole thing. They were slightly less ridiculous when they acknowledged their math errors. Now back to full ridiculous.Funny like until yesterday CMA was an expert in the field...
Now that they blocked it, they are incompetent again...
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Sad day for freedom of private people and businesses.
The experts everywhere said it would go through, hence all the shock. Like it was widely believed after the last CMA report that there’d be just concessions and that’s it.But but.. the experts at Gaf said it will go through

I agree with that and the tits on your avatar GOD BLESS THE JEWNITED STATE TONY MONTANA EDITIONThe deal getting blocked benefits gamers in general.
Why do Xbox fans want this deal to go through? Because it's going to be on Game Pass? No, the fanboys simply wanted bragging rights.
I said from the beginning that I don't want either Sony or Microsoft going after major publishers. Keep the major publishers third party. Microsoft doesn't need Acitivison to compete, they need better management.
It’s an intelligent move by the CMA If you read the reasoning.
They are essentially trying to protect the competition before the market explodes in cloud gaming.
It’s coming, of course people arent happy on here about cloud gaming but once it sets off and gets going we certainly do not want MS dictating how that will go the same for any large corporation.
This isn’t about the IP itself but the ability to set off a new industry where no one can provide a viable alt.
Impressive if it’s been thought through and it seemingly has.
Sony getting COD has nothing to do with this ruling.
