Microsoft: Forza 5 runs at 60 fps, Xbox One has no fps/resolution requirements

Less replies to this than I expected. Strange.

this thread after that tweet in gif form

I wish in that twitter post he said native full 1080p to silence it all. This way it could still be 1280x1080p or anything upscaled to 1080p etc.

How do you know?
Too much AA. It looks very supersampled. We know the footage was in-engine, but GT5 trailers are also in-engine. It doesn't mean image quality is the same or even close.

Gaf > Shaun Mcinnis

I don't know where he pulled the 1080p from, probably some PR bullshit from around when the Xbone was revealed.

All I'm saying is, even if the game is 1080p this tweet does not end the thread.

???

FYI, there are a few Xbox 360 (and PS3) games that are native 1080p.

All that this (possibly) "confirms" is that some devs don't have to make games in 1080p if they don't want to.

I mean, weren't there threads here on GAF in which most said that we will probably see a bunch of "720p/60 FPS" games and "1080p/30 FPS" games on next gen consoles?

So why are people acting surprised as if what they are assuming ends up being true and/or using it to state how ALL of a console's games will be?

The issue with that is that the Xbox 360 isn't capable of a full native 1080p image.

Keep on fighting soldier!

We should same the same to you, some Gamespot guy tweets it, so it is true? On what Earth are game "journalist" qualified to make technical analysis of unreleased games? If T10 said it I'd believe it, but Gamespot guy?

I always practice healthy skepticism.

And yet you say this after HeliosT10 posted in the thread.

Stop. Just stop.

I'm supposed to know who this is? Did he say something, let's hear it then. "The game is 1920x1080 60fps in game play". No one cares about in engine replays made for PR dog and pony shows on stage. I never said the game ran in 720P mode or any other claim, but I don't buy coded PR tweets.

Doesn't Helios work at T10? He quoted the tweet...

It was confirmed by Turn 10 and MS, it was definitely realtime.
It was confirmed to be "in-engine" which is devspeak for "rendered using our engine, but not necessarily running realtime on any hardware".

GT5 trailers are in-engine, as an example.

I have no worry about games not being 1080p to start with but you know someone down the line will give us a 720p game because they can show more shaders and polys, it will happen.

So then how are we going to get the answer then?

What's the point in even discussing this now if no one is to be believed?

Easy, let Mr. T10 go on record with some numbers and we will let DF check him after release. This isn't rocket science, people need to stop with conspiracy theories and accusations. Talk is cheap and MS already got caught faking part of the show, let Mr. T10 clear it up.

It should be noted that all X360 forza's have been 720p, T10 have not skimped on resolution before.

If it turns out to be Sub-hd it probably is 1280x1080 or something along those lines.
