I just started gamesharing with my brother, its very cool that I can preload games he bought. I'll get The Evil Within and he should be able to preload it when the times comes as well.

Edit: PS4

How? Are you able to set two PS4's as your primary account?

Everything is best if backtouch is not used. Destiny mapped few bnuttons on "simultaneous use", and there were no problems.

Sorry, I should have been clearer...I was referring to the (apparent) fact that without remote play they were already doubling up. So with remote play, there will be more buttons to account for than usual.

I just followed the trick online. Set his PS4 as my primary ps4 and he set my PS4 as his primary PS4. That way my account on my ps4 has access to all of his games. And his account on his ps4 has access to all of mine.

Perhaps I've missed this, but to my knowledge, you won't be able to get items like in traditional RPGs to upgrade your character's equipment, such as armour? I have this impression because of the pre-defined weapons he has and the use of the rune system which is what seems to upgrade these weapons directly, instead of obtaining upgradeable equipment itself.

But wasn't the reason of the drops in the PS4 version because the framerate was going up? Like, from 60 to 65, and then back to 60? And wasn't it fixed with a patch later?

Can people please finally stop with this. I know you obviously don't know but I read it in every cod ps4 thread. The framerate on Ghosts is shocking on ps4 and it's 100 percent framerate drops not a higher framerate. If you play the game now it's just awful on ps4. Such a beautiful crisp picture completely ruined by low performance

Bought this on my US account although I play on my UK account. US account says unlocked in 1 day, UK in 4 days. Am I going to be able to play it on my UK account on Tuesday?

Thought the same thing but if you hit the options button and go to information it says 8:15 am on the 30th for me.

I heard of a glitch where you would need to download it again after the US release on the US account to be able to play on the UK account because it saved the unlock time.

You'll see if that happens to you as well.

Advanced Warfare should make Ghosts obsolete, anyway.

Anyone find any comparison videos out there? Deciding whether I want to dip on PS4 or PC, I play both on the couch.

Pretty much everything we have is on youtube, which suffers from heavy compression.

If you are going for fidelity, PC should be the clear winner. On top of the normal graphical options you can jack up to the moon if you choose, there will be a massive texture pack on release.

If you're looking for a quality comparison, you're probably going to have to wait until Digital Foundry can get their stuff up. Most of the media of the game that has "leaked" so far comes from people who only managed to grab one version of the game.

Runes drop from the big-bads; orc captains and war chiefs. You use the runes on your three weapons, which include a longsword, a dagger, and a bow, to upgrade them and give them powerful effects.

As for armor,
it’s been said that Talion’s look will change through the course of the game.
I’m unsure if you can level up your health or damage resistance through skills like in the Arkham games but I bet you can.

so from all of the xbox one streams, we can pretty much deduce that it will be 30 fps correct? Out of the 3 or 4 now, there has not been one that has said it looks 60 fps

You have your bow, sword and dagger.
Each one has rune slots that you can unlock or buy with experience points. Whenever you kill a captain or similar high level orc, they leave a random skill for one of the three weapons.
You can then choose which skills you want to insert in your rune slots, or convert them into exp.
Im currenty going for a stealthier approach, so I use skills that generate focus and heath upon a successfull stealth kill, for example. Other gives you X% more damage while riding, or scares two orcs when you brutalise someone instead of one, and so on

You can also unlock new abilities by completing missions and finding artifacts, aswell as uppgrading your character with more health and better attacks.

There's actually quite a lot of improvements to unlock, but you have to progress in the game to get acess to some of the better stuff.
I just managed to unlock a shorter combo finisher, which lowers the amount of successfull blows needed from 8 to 5. Helps a lot!

Played this at EGX in London yesterday. It was one of the best things I played all weekend. PS4 version was buttery smooth and while I know the nemesis system has been widely discussed already it really is glorious. Picking off specific henchmen in order was great. Manipulating the higherarchy to my benefit for information. The Arkham esque combat had more options than the Batman games I thought because of the wraith powers.

Yes it cribs a lot of ideas from other games of similar genre but it's basically the sum of its parts. To get away with stealing the best design ideas of other games you need to execute them perfectly and it does that with aplomb. I was super impressed with the voice acting too. It basically moved itself into the day 1 bracket.

One thing I didn't know was how the weapons apparently brand themselves with the war chiefs you kill adding weight to some of the lore and causing some mobs just to run away in fear as soon as you draw your sword. Nice touch.

I may be the only person who does not care that much about Middle earth fiction but i can't wait for this.

The Lord of the Rings movies bored me to near tears when my mythology teacher showed them in class 3 years ago, and I thought that the first Hobbit movie was hot street trash. That being said.... I placed my order for this today.

This is wild speculation, but does anyone get the feeling that
The Black Hand of Sauron IS Sauron? Either Sauron with a newly created body or bound to the Black Hand like Celebrimbor and Talion are bound.

The Middle-earth licensing almost caused me to ignore it completely.

I read The Hobbit in grade school, and watched each LOTR film of the trilogy in theatres while I was in high school, but outside of that, I've never cared about the series.

Exactly my exposure to Tolkien. Don't mind it, but never been enraptured by it. I'm jumping in for the Nemesis system and gameplay.

If this game wasn't on PC, I think it would have finally pushed me over the edge to pick up a PS4. If I knew there were games this year I wanted on The PS4, I would probably go ahead and buy both PC and PS4 copies like some of you.

I love LotR, but for me the license is the least interesting part of this game.

Actually, I still feel it would have been better served, story-wise, by another property.

Wait that texture pack is not included in the 33 GB? Dear god man.

Same here. Ever since I saw Talion cut off an orc's head I was like:

Huh, if that post is accurate you need a 290X to play at 1080p@60fps.

He said he was downsampling from 2720x1700 because the game wasn't properly recognizing his native resolution. He said he was getting above 45 FPS at 4K. I can't verify his claims but he's not saying he needs a 290x @ 1920x1080.

Great to hear the game turned out so well. Never bet against Monolith imo. Those dudes know how to make a good game. This will be my first digital preorder on the PS4. Its funny that a 33GB download is acceptable to me this gen after a lot of other games end up being 50GB downloads.

Not gonna lie, I think it would be hella awesome if Monolith did a Predator open world action RPG, they clearly know what they're doing.

When was the last time we got a Predator game separate from the AvP license?

Predator: Concrete Jungle on the OG Xbox is the last one I can remember.
