Free DLC for backers? That's cool, though I honestly don't care for the game anymore. I'll play it since I paid for it though

I pledged for the physical box (and a couple tiers higher yet...) I hope that they let us get a physical copy. Though I'm doubting that will be the case.

I'm assuming we just get the stupid USB drive thing, I think I pledged at that tier too. Shame as buying the PS4 retail release will surely be cheaper. Cost of kickstarting I guess.

Hmmm wish we could just opt for a physical copy but I can see how that wouldn't work since it's a separate deal. Really cool that Deep Silver is funding the DLC and additional VO work though.

it's unsurprising that the handheld versions are taking a bit longer, though

They're using Unreal Engine 3 so it shouldn't be a problem with the Vita version though.

And the way they're talking about it in the FAQ, it sounds like they're remaking the game for both handhelds. I can understand with the 3DS, but the Vita? Hell no.

I definitely don't like the sound of this. I'll probably just go for the PS4 version instead. That late Vita version will probably suck.

Looks pretty neat, wish the backdrops weren't so dull and dreary but I'm sure there's more variety to the final game. Didn't back this, but I'm definitely interested in playing it on the Vita eventually. PS+ seems inevitable.

I forget what tier I backed at but I downloaded the very first beta... For anyone else that have tried further iterations, is this game actually fun? Or have I made a huge mistake?

Not a fan of the recent trend of "Vita version coming later"

Same here. I don't mind different company platform delays like getting the game after xbone/xbox 360, wii u/3ds or PC. But it should be release on same day for PS3/PS4/Vita. It is the reason why I only bought Shovel Knight and yet to play Axiom Verge or RE Revelations 2.

The beta was updated multiple times why not update it and try it. I think it's fun.

They are having to remake the games in a completely different engine. I would prefer they delay them and focus on release on a majority of the platforms then delay them all.

I agree but they did a special seperate thing about preorder money paying for voices.

Annoying that after all that they got both recorded anyway, there was no need for that extra money.

Heh, they sure did capitalize on capcom fan hate for a game that looks badly designed and now I am wondering where a lot of the money had gone.

I wonder when people will realize Infaune is the one who crashed the series to the ground.

I bet people won't notice the voice thing like we do thought, they are just waiting for that Mega Man game.

YES!!! Retail on Wii U! :D

Was so expecting it to be getting the short-end of the stick, especially since Deep Silver doesn't publish much at all on Nintendo systems. Certainly nothing this gen on 3DS or Wii U.

The problem is UE3 runs like garbage on Vita. Doing everything ground up is going to lead to a much better game, if they tried to downport it'd probably massacre the assets and framerate.

I sort of wish inticreates would've done 2D versions for the handhelds.

Yep, I was psyched to play all of those on Vita first, and foremost.

I'm also still forever burned by seeing developers say "we're planning a Vita version" and it never happening.

This was known during the Kickstarter.
The handheld version is being developed by someone else.
Forgot who.

hang on, did the game get english and japanese voice overs? I thought they only had the money for one.

The kickstarter email they just sent out mentions that the extra funding they got from Deep Silver is allowing them to produce Japanese and French voiceovers.

The money went into the development of the game. Also the game does not look badly designed it just doesn't look like the initial 2d concept art. However before the end of the KS they did release footage that looked closer to the current design.

They are actually completely remaking the game for the 3DS/Vita so who knows what changes they will make.

The game is already basically 2D though, and no point doing tons of sprite work when they can just port the assets and re-adjust.

I'm so conflicted. Like, I want to support this. Badly. But it doesn't look that great. I'll probably scoop up that physical release. I hope it plays better than the videos have shown so far.

Well there are opinions that are backing off from this game, and some like yours so it's all just opinions at the end of the day. (like the poster above me)

However they clearly didn't need the "extra money" for some of the features, such as voice acting considering their kickstarter funds.

The team doing the handheld port is Abstraction Games. They've been good on Vita, so while the port being delayed sucks, I'm confident it'll be solid. I'd much rather they dump UE3 anyway, since it's not a great engine on Vita
and doesn't even run on 3DS.

Deep Silver probably never published a retail Vita game ever (or possibly no Vita game at all). But maybe they can be convinced?

Deep Silver has published two Vita retail games ... exclusively in Spain (Tadeo Jones). I don't think they have much to stand on here.
