He is a one-man company working on a game. I know no other game where there where updates nearly every day. Even the big companies do not update every day.

Man, you guys are going to eviscerate him if anything in his private life comes up that might prevent him from working on the project. God forbid, he might actually want a break some day. The man doesn't live in a magical wonderland (even though he is Swedish!) and the explosion in popularity has to be managed somehow. It's not like he can just hand off everything that's not coding from one week to the other. Easiest fix is to walk everyone away from the chunk so the animal gets removed.

it's common. Monsters cannot be killed. Move away and when you get there again they are gone.

I think that the price I have paid now is low comparing for what the game gives me right now. So new updates its like free content for me, if the man wants to have a rest after the servers exploded and he had to work fast to bring it all back up, im not the one going to complain.

Do blocks in the game ever turn into other kinds of blocks randomly? I ask because I had a pretty long staircase of width 1 going down into a mountain and I swear that after quitting the game and reloading later in the day there were a few steel deposits in the wall/ceiling that I just don't think I could have missed before.

The game should have archaeology its just a natural fit. Placeing a T-Rex skelleton at your house would be awesome.
Two questions:
1. My friends server doesn't seem to have sheep or cows. Are they really never going to show up? I need wool!
2. I got what seems to be a dirt block in my inventory but there is a small green outline on the top of it. Is this a grass block?
That'd be great since I want to grow grass on my rooftops.

I'm just teasing him, that's all. The point is, the guy is making a helluva lot of money off a game that's in Alpha. If he weren't particularly ambitious, he could very easily work on Minecraft till it's finished as far as he's concerned, take his money, and vamoose.
