It will create a island that spawns a single tree and has no visable larger land masses (actually I still haven't found anything above ground other than the island.) Under the island you will find mines that will assist you with food and wood (from chests and support beams.) It is actually pretty impressive of how isolated you feel with this map.

Welp, that looks like a good Mirror's Edge custom map project! ...except that there wouldn't really be a good way to run since it's so vertical.mcrae said:http://i.imgur.com/TfFHW.jpg

EskimoJoe said:So, I was thinking of something that might be neat to do in this thread. What if someone started some sort of Themed Building Contest. It could be, like, a weekly ordeal, where someone says "Everyone who wants to participate, build something like this." Then we all take our own, unique crack at it, and vote on who's is the best.
It would really help anyone who's at that "what the hell should I do know?" stage in minecraft, where I constantly find myself stuck. I'd love a contest like this, although I wouldn't know how to get something like that going, or whether I'd be up to the task of running it. Maybe, though...

Odd. I have tried different worlds and none of them had snow.Vlad said:

Jeb accidentally left the debug pillars in for Strongholds in 1.9 Pre 3... basically you can find a tall column of glass in your world, if you break it and dig to the bottom it will lead to a Stronghold (I guess so he could find one easily for testing purposes).bengraven said:Oh man, 1.9 is going to rock. I guess it really IS the other half of the Adventure Update.
Also, I really want to find a stronghold.

There's special new blocks and they create "Air Portals" according to the code... doesn't do anything right now though. Servers also now load a third level and there's a couple of new white blocks in the terrain PNG files. Looks like the Sky Realm is gearing up to release finally (1.10 maybe?)

Current level would be my guess, since it's near the exp bar. But who knows. :OCharmingCharlie said:Thought I would shove 1.9.3 on my PC since I am not going on Ark's server at the moment (waiting till we can fully explore the map and start doing projects). Anyway on firing it up I saw this :-
Anyone else have a number 6 near the health/hunger bar ? or some other number. Better still anyone know what it could possibly be indicating ?

That's my guess as well.CharmingCharlie said:Hm you could be right, I just loaded an older singleplayer game I had floating around and the number is 49 so it could very well be "current experience level".
Yep just crafted an enchantment table and enchanted a diamond sword and axe and no longer have the 6 on my HUD. Ah well another mystery solved.EskimoJoe said:I'm pretty sure that's what it is. To confirm, craft an enchantment table and enchant something. Should go down.

I think the goop is just the portal. Like how the nether's portal is purple and swirly. The skyworld's is that goop.bengraven said:I'm calling it now, btw:
the "goop" is going to be the "bedrock" of the sky dimension.
Although if we can PLACE it, I really want to make a Hogwarts great hall now.
