MLB 15:The Show |OT| - Yes Yes Yes (Unless you are asking about online improvements)

So this doesnt let you go from ps3 to ps4 for rtts? I upload to the cloud via ps3 and nothing appears on ps4's cloud downlod option

They were talking about this on the Press Row Podcast. I assume you're talking about going from MLB 14 on PS3 to MLB 15 on PS4? If you are, the way they explained it was that you have to upload from the PS3 version of MLB 14 to the PS4 version of MLB 14. Once you do that then your MLB 14 save will be recognized by MLB 15 on PS4. Not sure if they are 100% correct though.

That's basically it.

The save file needs to be on the hdd of the PS4.

So you can't just go from a PS3 14 to PS4 15 without making a save file in PS4 14 first.

Mlb 15 ps3 to mlb 15 ps4.(not 14 to 15)

I rented the ps3 version and then borrowed a ps4 version. The cloud on ps4 isnt seeing my save from the ps3 version.

You used the in game system to save it to the cloud and not the ps+ backup system?

your 2015 projected playoffs

:p

sadly despite having the triple crown numbers, I didn't officially get that or MVP in the season :/ as I didn't have enough at bats to qualify for them >.>

Haha I know the handful of games that didnt got it patched. Just wondering about this as it seems its missing (not 100% sure so will post pics to get opinions)

Yeah I think in pretty much all games missing it, it was an oversight. There's no real performance impact from using it.

That said - it would be odd that a Sony studio overlooked something like that. If you could post some pics that would be helpful

I have just ordered this on PS4, and it will be my first MLB game ever :D

Never even watched a game (live in Australia), but hoping it'll be a bit of fun with mates.

well i just got this for PS3 and it's a little janky looking and the trophies SUCK, but im having fun with RTTS. I wish there was a way to play a season mode as an individual player.. I want the RTTS experience with a specific Triple A team in the outfield, not to be randoming it.

Aside from that, what exactly is the point of the Level system? I get Exp but dont see what it does?

Can't you player lock in season mode? I know you can in franchise on PS4.

alright mlb the show... I could accept you trading jose abreu for Michael Brantley in june 2015.... but I can't remotely fathom why you would trade Chris Sale for Manny Machado on the 8th day of the season in 2016, a season that started with Sale pitching a perfect game (and the day after Jeff Samardzija pitched a no hitter. it's weird since they are just simmed) @_@

Thinking about picking this up, but since I may not like it, should I get MLB 14 instead and save $40? Is MLB 15 a big improvement over last year?

It's weird because the answer is yeah, fuck yeah, but perhaps only to people intimately familiar with the series. Like, just throwing around some numbers, if this game is a 90, 14 is a 87, but those three points are mighty nice. That kinda thing.

I got called up to the big leagues as my 3rd baseman to the Marlins, and I've been struggling so bad with the bat. I can't seem to get much contact. I've been using analog swinging since Double-A and had some success then, but now it seems impossible.

I went ahead and made a young pitcher and got drafted by the Blue Jays so I'm in their farm team right now developing. I seem to be getting a good hang of the pitching mechanics and hoping I can get my other two pitch slots added soon.

I learned the hard way that you don't get the other pitches added. You have to go to the training screen and scroll down to where your pitches are, then hit triangle to add them manually. It costs 300 points to add a pitch, but I think they start out at around 30 rating in all three categories. So you'll need to work them up. Unless you have a bunch of points or are buying them with game breakers, I'd suggest building up your three starting pitches and other important ratings first (e.g. stamina, H/9, BB/9, SO/9, etc.).

That's why for my lefty pitcher, Pootie Tang, I focused on developing my knuckleball, my cut fastball, and the velocity change-up as well as stamina, H/9, HR/9, K/9, BB/9, durability, and the fielding stats. Once all of them have been pumped up, I'll work on a fourth pitch.

I started at age 18, stayed in college, got drafted in the first round by the Tigers, started the season in the AA starting rotation, moved up to AAA after 4 starts, moved up to the majors after 5 starts, and have made 6 starts (6 wins, 5 complete games) in the majors. I'm currently leading the rookie of the year voting even though I've only made 6 starts.

Very nice. I made the bigs and have had four quality starts, but quickly became trade fodder. The way AI trading works in the RTTS mode is hilarious. In the span of a month, I went from the Cubs to the Cardinals to the Marlins. I never asked for a trade or anything, my stats are solid, and I'm projected as a future ace. Ummm, go Marlins, I guess?

I like the idea of going knuckleball. I'm more of a traditional fastball, change up, curve pitcher, but that's only because I didn't really consider the knuckle route. That's my favorite pitch in real life and I've always been a huge fan of the knucklers. Is it effective in game against the AI? Does it dance around a lot, or just drop at the end more in line with a weak change up? I might consider adding it to the mix if it actually works in game. Hell, I might just start a knuckleball pitcher in general.

I'm not in the highest difficulty setting, but even a fairly low level knuckleball was mowing down hitters throughout AA, AAA, and the majors. I was trying to replicate R.A. Dickey's great run from a few years ago, when his knuckleball, which had some velocity, was making trouble across the league. It had a good amount of motion; it always cracks me to see where the catcher had set my target and where the pitch actually landed. It'll dance in any direction too.

NB: I'm playing the Vita version, though I'm not sure it matters that much.

Cool. I love the R.A. Dickey, Tim Wakefield, Charlie Hough, and Phil Niekro mold. I would focus on the faster Dickey variant as well, but I'm interested to hear some of your long-term results. The feast and famine nature of the pitch might make it a frustrating experience in game.

Have you seen Knuckleball? I love that film.

New patch hit! Thank god we have a resolution to McCutchen Hairgate.

I still wish they could patch the ability to take the strike zone out of DD

Don't fucking tell me where the strike box is

If you don't make your knuckleballer a 6'10 300+ pound lefty with a submarine delivery, you're doing it wrong

Stolen base cheese still exists. Dude doesn't even have a lead, I throw a pitch out and a dart to second on target, and an 80 speed guy still steals? GTFO

Most fun i've had in awhile. Are you guys spending money on packs in DD? Pull in great cards? I had a David Ortiz and although I wanted Ted Williams eventually I sold him because he kept jerking it in the field with his 43 fielding rating. I do have an F-Rod and my created self is 98.
